BURN IN HELL.
Jason&Dean: Burnin' Ring Of Fire
Meeting with a hunter wasn't exactly high on Jason's priority list... A Winchester? Even less. But a Winchester that he'd gotten in a fight with over tumblr? Pretty much at the bottom of his list, because for all Jay knew, the damn guy was just trying to get him alone so that he could make the kill without anyone being any the wiser that it was him. However, that didn't seem to be enough to deter Jason... Because the werewolf knew he enough to handle himself, and more than enough to dispose of a roudy hunter if need be.
A quiet, low grunt escaped Jason as he pulled the cloth guitar bag up over his shoulder, securing one of his acoustic guitars in place. The keys jangled in his hand as he reached out and unlocked the door to the apartment that he hadn't really been back to since he'd found the Pack... Although that would most likely change. Especially if things kept being as awkward as they had been with Bruce. Hell, they'd barely spoken since Jason had returned... and after the whole 'jail' thing it'd just gotten worse.
The door swung wide and Jason stepped in, glancing behind himself once before he stepped inside and shut it, placing the guitar case against the tv stand and tossing his keys onto the coffee table before disappearing into the kitchen to make himself a cup of coffee.
So maybe Cas was right, maybe he'd been unreasonable about just trusting him and no one else. But that didn't mean he liked it, in fact every instinct in him was screaming at him to turn around. To not trust, but it was that way for everyone he reasoned. Humans and supernaturals alike, even if his distrust of all things non-human ran just a little deeper. Still, Cas was right and.. knowing that he would need allies against whatever mess was going on, well... he had to get over his inhibitions. Over a lot of things if he was gonna be anywhere near.. the man Castiel had always believed he was. And perhaps never had been.
So that's the line of thought that found him lugging a guitar case out of the Impala and over his shoulder. Staring up at the apartment building, he wondered whether or not he was doing the right thing, he could still chicken out and he back or just head up to Castiel's instead, but.. He shut his eyes and could almost see that expression on Castiel's face. With a grunt, Dean shut the trunk of the Impala and headed into the building and up the stairs. The door was, surprisingly, the one right next to his angel's and it took him as moment to build up the balls to knock, if only because he was on edge. So ready to turn back, instead he waited until the door swung open revealing, the werewolf he could only suppose was Jason. "Hey." he said simply, waving. "Can I come in?"
Jason had just barely finished making a pot of coffee when he heard the knock at the door, and he called out a quiet 'I'm coming' before opening a cabinet above his head. Hey, the hunter had been an ass. He could stand to wait a minute as Jason grabbed himself a mug and poured the coffee. Once the liquid was securely inside the cup, Jason finally turned and made his way out of the small kitchen and into the living room, stopping just at the door before he tugged it open. "Yeah, so long as you don't plan on trashing the place." Jason managed, not that it really could be trashed. A living room, a kitchen, and a bedroom with a bathroom attached. That was the extent of the tiny ass apartments the government had given the supernaturals forced into moving here... Enough to get by but not really enough to be comfortable. "You can set it down over there." Jason managed, gesturing first to Dean's guitar then to his own across the room before he turned his back and moved into the kitchen again. "Coffee?"
Dean raised an eyebrow at the remark, "Cause there's oh so much to trash in here." He snorted as he walked in and noted all the exits and entrances before swinging off his guitar and placing it beside he other. Taking in the apartment he stared at the oddness of it, somehow something so small for Cas had made so much sense yet... for another person it felt a little encaging. "Coffee sounds great." He replied with a glance back into the kitchen as he sat not the couch, back straight. "Man, I didn't realize how small these places were," He muttered and grinned as he thought about Cas and trying to walk around him in mornings after and as they figured out showers and breakfast. "Must've sucked to live in before."
Jason grunted and smirked as he crossed the small kitchen to the cabinets and pulled out another mug, one similar to his, and set it down on the counter. "I'd imagine you aren't unfamiliar with it." Jason called, arching an eyebrow as he grabbed the potof coffee and began to pour the warm liquid into the mug. "You wreak of this place... And another person. Guy if my nose is right. Been stayin over a lot?" He questioned, filling the cup to the brim before he settled the pot back into the machine. With that Jason grabbed up both mugs, his own and the newly filled one, then made his way out into the living room and stopped before the couch, offering one out to Dean. "Or are you going to get pissy and insist you've never been here before?"
Listening to the familiar getting coffee shuffle in the kitchen, Dean allowed himself to relax if only a little. "I'm not, been over here a bit." He called back, but Jason didn't pause in his words. By the end of it, his ears were red and Dean sputtered out, "h-he's Cas! I just.. missed him." He offered out truthfully cause werewolves sometimes had that annoying ability to tell when you were lying and that's the last thing he wanted, for a werewolf to know his orientation before he even got to tell Sam. "I've been here." He hugged and took the mug, trying to ignore the ways his hands seemed to shake nervously and tensing all over again. "Like I said, Cas has the apartment next door."
"Actually..." Jason managed, relinquishing the cup when Dean took it and noting the red flush to his ears as he sat down on the couch as well. "...I don't believe you've ever mentioned that Cas had the apartment next door. In fact you've never given a name to this mysterious man you're happy to have found before now." He managed, smirking slightly before he brought his own coffee up to his lips. So... his neighbor, one of the original supernaturals pushed into this damn place, was the reunited friend of Dean Winchester, supernatural hunter. That was certainly... interesting to know. And if the scent was anything to go by, what with the way Castiel's all but covered Dean, he'd be willing to say friend was probably a bit of an understatement. A smirk began to turn up the corner of his mouth as he sat back on the couch, clutching the coffee between his hands. "He injure himself a lot? I hear weird ass noises coming from over there occasionally." He murmured, concealing the shit eating grin on his face by taking a long sip of coffee.
Sipping the coffee Dean hummed happily, cause god he felt exhausted. Last night he'd actually slept in his own bed, or didn't sleep because of the lack of a warm body beside him, tangled with his own. He choked on his drink as he heard Jason speak and his ears grew redder, "Yeah, well Cas is what I call him. His name is Castiel." Dean heard himself say and controlled the urge to face palm, this was not a pissing contest, he needed to not.. exist right now. "I said I knew where your apartment was right? He's why." He was making it worse, how in hell was he making it worse? Regaining his calm, his center, Dean straightened up and licked his lips, blush fading and then coming back at full force. "Ugh, um, I don't think so." He pulled the coffee mug up to his lips again and drank more of the scalding liquid in on go than he should of. "He doesn't get hurt." The expanse of Castiel's pale skin filled his mind for a moment, love bites and hickeys prominent against his neck and shoulders, and he shuddered before forcing the image from his mind. "Unless he wants to."
To his credit, Jason tried. He really did try and subdue the laugh that bubbled in his throat, to force it back and keep it down... But with each moment that passed he found it growing hard and harder... and before long he was lowering the mug from his lips, forcing the last swallow down his throat, and laughing abruptly. It took a moment until he finally life a hand to cover his mouth, bending forward to set his mug down on the coffee table before the couch as he turned to face Dean. "You know I can smell arousal, right? Dude if you want to keep your... whatever... with Patch a secret you need to learn to control your reactions better. And the blushing. The blushing is a dead give away."
Growling as Jason broke into laughter, Dean slammed his mug down and glared darkly, summoning one of Sammy's famous bitchfaces. "What's so fu-" Except then Jason was cutting him off, talking and his face grew redder as he tensed. Suddenly a mask of indifference overtook his features and Dean swallowed, "I don't see how it's your business." He near snarled, clenching his hands into fists as the near shame and embarrassment flooded him. He had to remind himself that it was Cas. That Cas made him feel... like no one before. Dean had to remember because the last thing he wanted to do was hurt Cas... because he was scared or fucked over... or just unable to compute. Breathing in deep, he shut his eyes and tried to calm down. "Can you no-" He cut himself off and opened his eyes, slumping weakly. "I just.." He looked away finally, "Yeah right."
Jason's laughter only seemed to grow louder as Dean reacted, the sound suddenly be stifled as he pressed his own hand tighter to his mouth and tried to cut it off. Antagonizing a homophobic hunter probably wasn't the best idea... And the last thing Jason needed was to be dragging an injured or dead body out of the apartment because said hunter had attempted to attack him. Eventually he managed to quiet himself down, letting the laughter peter off into nothing before he let out a breath and shook his head, once more grabbing the coffee mug. "Right, not my buisness." He managed, smirking slightly into the mug once again. "Just tell 'Cas' to be careful. Really seems to be hurting himself bad over there sometimes."
Dean ran a hand through his hair before standing, "This was a bad idea." He murmured and moved to grab his guitar. It felt like his fears had dug their claws in him and were pulling him down, he felt ready to run and he wondered whether he'd stop driving if he got in the Impala. Shit, he probably wouldn't and he could almost imagine the hurt on Castiel's face, could almost feel the acceptance that would follow. That had followed every drunken kiss and fucked up thing he'd done to the angel over the course of the years. "I..." His voice cracked as Dean spoke, his shoulders fell and he licked his lips, shutting his eyes. "I love him." He admitted finally, out loud, to someone other than Cas and he wondered how the hell it was possible. "And I'm scared I'll fuck up, sca-" Dean's voice stopped and he took in a shaky breath, grabbing his guitar and sitting with it against his lap, "Scared I'll hurt him and he'll think that he's just.. another body." Unzipping his guitar without looking up, he wondered whether he was admitting it to Jason or himself. "It's not a secret... it's just that... I'm afraid... that if more people know.. that'll be harder, because I'm /not/... I /wasn't/.." His voice sounded small, "gay."
Jason watched quietly as Dean stood from the couch and crossed the room, grabbing the guitar case he'd brought with him and clutching it close. Honestly? Jason couldn't recall the last time he'd seen someone with such a homophobic crisis, and this man... An admittedly attractive, strong man going through it was nothing if not... stereotypical? Perhaps that wasn't the word Jay was looking for, but it was what came to mind. Eventually, though, Dean seemed to shift and eventually he was sitting back down on the couch with the guitar in his lap, the strings vibrating lightly as he pulled it from it's case. Jason sat quietly, listening to Dean before he let out a breath and shook his head, bending forward to once more set his mug down on the coffee table. "Look." Jason said quietly, waiting a moment before he turned to look over at Dean. "I get it, I really do. I'm actually... In a fairly similar boat. Afraid to hurt someone I care about..." He managed, furrowing his brows as his mind flashed to the conversation he and Cory had had just a few nights ago. "And hey, I'm not gay. I'm not straight. I'm nothing but who I choose to be. I date who I want and I fuck who I want. People who judge me and can go fuck themselves cause clearly they aren't getting any anywhere else." He managed, shrugging as he sat back into the couch. "So don't get hung up on that. It's trivial."
Dean laughed softly as he tuned the guitar, listening to each string till he had them as close to perfect as he could get. "See the thing is, I can't help it." He swallowed again, trying to get rid of the lump in his throat, the knot in his chest. "I wish it were just that easy, that there wasn't this... background noise whenever I'm with him, but it's there." He sighed and plucked a few chords, testing the guitar, his skill. "And logically I want to say fuck you to all of it, forget everything but him, but Cas and sometimes... I manage to, I lose myself in him so much and it's... beautiful. I love it. I love.. the way he makes me feel." A smile tugged at the corner of his lips, but his eyes still didn't raise from the ground. "But it's not that easy, the way it was before him was.. women, so many they blurred into one sometimes. Just losing myself in bodies, being alive for one night... I never really fell for anyone like the way.. I fell.. am falling for him... And I just.. can't let it go sometimes. And I'm scared that one day it won't be enough that I try and that he'll... leave."
"Look..." Jason said quietly, waiting a moment before he pushed himself up from the couch and crossed the room to his guitar. "From the few conversations I've had with the Patch... The guy's not..." Jason petered off and tilt his head slightly, ironically mimicking the angel's head tilt as he slowly grabbed the guitar case and pulled it towards himself. "He's not... with it. And I don't mean that in an insulting sense but more as... a child like quality?" He let out a breath and lift the case, walking back towards the couch where he sat down next to Dean and pulled his own guitar out, tuning it in a third of the time it'd taken Dean and strumming the strings lightly. "I really don't think you could do anything that'd get rid of him. He seems like the lost little kid that clings to what he knows. But I could be wrong."
Dean raised an eyebrow as he watched the wolf, fingers tapping lightly against the guitar's body. They both shot up as he realized that yeah, Jason knew Cas and that was weird. But he listened in silence as Jason spoke and all but shook his head, "You don't know what he is, do you?" Dean asked with a small smile playing on his lips, "I mean, yeah he's... kind innocent when it comes to a lot of things in terms of experience first hand, but.. he's a lot more knowledgeable than he looks, it's just the twenty-first century that confuses the shit out of him." He played a soft melody in the span of a minute than spoke again, "And you're right, he'd... probably forgive me for anything. And that's what's worse, I don't want to abuse that, abuse him, and his absolute belief that... I'm someone worth saving." His hand flew to his shoulder on instinct and he licked his lips, "Cause I'm not sure I am."
A low, subdued laugh escaped Jason as he began to pluck at a few strings, playing out the beginning notes to 'Hey There Delilah' and settled into it because it was an easy rhythm to play while he spoke. "Actually, he was pretty damn upfront about it from the first day. "I'm Castiel, an Angel of the Lord. Though I fear I may be a poor excuse of one." Jason mimicked, straightening his back and bobbing his head a bit before he relaxed and shook his head. "Patch is definitely a character... I'll give him that." Jason murmured, waiting a moment before he turned his head to look at Dean again. "People tend to believe in the people they care about more than they should. I know Cory does it with me... Gives me way more credit than I deserve... But I also know I can't change it. So the best I can try and do is live up to it... And that's all you can really do. Prove him right. Prove that you are someone worth saving."
Watching as the other man played, Dean moved his fingers to copy the chords and finally began to play, falling into place along with Jason. "Sounds like Cas alright." He grinned remembering meeting the angel so long ago, but his heart clenched, "Though, he's wrong, he's the best there is." Licking his lips as he played, Dean sang low, picking up the lyrics in places where he remembered, humming where the words escaped him. "Except I'm not." His playing stopped abruptly, "I don't think I've ever done a single thing to deserve how he.. just believes." He rubbed at his face and sighed, staring at his hands. "I spilled a lot of blood Jason and I'm not proud of it. Never have been.. Especially not after he-" He cut himself off and shook his head, "I can't be the person he believes in, but I can try. I am trying." He looked up meeting the werewolf's eyes with a rye smile, "After all I'm hanging out with you, ain't I?"
Jason listened quietly as Dean sang, his expression growing amused before he shift the grip of the guitar and actually began to strum his fingers over the strings rather than picking at them, playing the more complicated rhythm instead of the 2-3-2 tabs he'd been playing intially. Dean had a good voice, Jason could certainly give them that. Unlike Dean, though, Jason didn't stop playing. Instead he kept with the rhythm and shift a bit, getting more comfortable with the guitar in his lap. "Glad to know I'm the way you're trying to get in good with your boyfriend." Jason murmured, rolling his eyes before he laughed and let out a breath. "We've all doen things we're not proud of, Dean. Some of us more than other's... but there's always going to be someone who sees the best in us. Someone who can make us want to be more than we thought we ever could. And when you find that someone? Be it a friend, family member, significant other, or total stranger... You need to cling to it. Cause that is humanity, and it's what we all need."
"Funny, cause Cas isn't human..." Dean muttered and readjusted the guitar, picking up the rhythm again, resuming playing. "But I guess he's more human than even he gives himself credit for, especially since you know he helped stop the apocalypse. Twice." Leaning back he mulled over all that Jason had said and recognized it as true. Shutting his eyes, he smiled. "Guess you're right, cause I'm not planning on letting him go." Looking up he grinned, "Ever." Because Castiel was something he was missing in himself, a balance, another half, a part of his humanity that he lacked. A trust. A belief. A hope. Castiel was the light. What held him warm and made him safe. He smiled again, lips barely pulling up, then wider before starting to sing again.
"Not many of us here are." Jason countered, arching an eyebrow before he let out a breath and shook his head. Absently his fingers moved over the strings, callused and worn from the fact that he rarely, if ever, chose to use a pick. His other hand moved along the frets, picking up notes when necessary and hammering on to get the effects he desired. "Good. Pretty sure they come along once in a life time... and they need to be cherished while you had them." And God if Cory ever heard any of that Jason was sure he'd never hear the end of it. But that wasn't the point right now... Instead Jason played out a few more chords before he shift and fell into singing with Dean, matching the notes easily and getting lost int he song... even if it wasn't necessarily one of his favorites.
After a while Dean chuckled and groaned, "You're aware that this song sucks balls?" He glanced upward at Jason, licking his lips before smiling. "Know how to play anything better?" Breaking away from the song he plucked a few strings, playing a melody that had been stuck in his head before strumming lightly, liking the sound. "Geez, I remember more than I thought." Looking over again Dean breathed in deep, "You said you wrote your own music right?"
"Yeah, yeah. It really does." Jason managed, laughing quietly as he stopped strumming and stilled the strings. At the question about knowing anything better, Jay began to nod his head and would have gone to get one of his electrics from his room but stopped when Dean began to pluck out some rhythm that Jason himself wasn't familiar with. "Yeah... I do write my own music." He finally replied, nodding his head as he looked up and met Dean's eyes, arching an eyebrow. "Why?"
"We could play some of that, if it's any good." He replied, still playing his nameless tune and expanding it as the chords came to him. "I guess I'll have to be the judge of that." Dean winked at him playfully and hummed along with his made up song, "All your secret wishes could right now be coming true." He hummed for a moment and found the words, "And be forever with my poison arms around you." It sounded right, reminded him of Cas, of having him close and he grinned as the words just continued, he'd forgotten how it felt to play music, to create opposed to destroy. "No one’s gonna fool around with us. No one’s gonna fool around with us. So glad to meet’cha, Angeles" Finally he let the music fade away and ceased singing, "I forgot how much I liked playing." He commented after a moment.
"If it's any good..." Jason scoffed, laughing as he lightly picked at the strings of his own Fender acoustic. "I wrote it. Of course it's good." He murmured, smirking before he stilled his own strings and turned, watching Dean. It was strange, really... To see a hunter so far gone into something that he looked... serene... as opposed to angry enough to kill an entire pack without question. Most hunters always had that look- the look of impatience and hatred. But right now? The only look on Dean's face was one of ease and relaxation. "It's easy to forget when you haven't done it in a long time." Jason replied after a minute, shifting a bit on the couch.
Dean chuckled and looked up, "I'm sure it is. You'll have to teach me how to sing a couple of your song, so I can outdo you." Rolling his shoulders, Dean sat straighter and adjusted the guitar in his lap. "Shoulda bought a strap." He muttered and grinned over at Jason before nodding in agreement. "Yeah, I think the last time I played was before.. Dad..." He fell silent suddenly and shut his eyes, "Since before my father passed." Strumming the guitar lightly, he played a quite melody and smiled sadly. "Sorry, I do that sometimes. So, teach me a song Jason?" Dean looked up again and smiled more honestly.
"It's cool." Jason murmured quietly as he leaned forward a bit, adjusting the guitar so it's dip rest comfortable on his knee. "I used to get like that all the time right after my folks passed." He offered with a shrug. After a moment he was smiling again and arching an eyebrow while his fingers moved over the strings. "I'll teach you, but if you ever think you can seriously out do me on my own songs, you've got another thing coming." Absently he began to pick over the strings, playing with them a bit before he seemed to settle into a rhythm, moving slow enough so that Dean could pick up. "Here I am waiting... I'll have to leave soon... Why am I holdin on... We knew this day would come... We knew it all along... How did it... come so fast..."
"Yeah," Dean repeated and tapped his fingers against his guitar lightly, beating out a rhythm before letting his hand fall away. "I can try," He grinned with a wink and laugh, "Well come on!" Leaning forward, he watched as Jason's fingers danced over the strings. A lot like love, he thought, he played in a way that seemed a lot like love and he couldn't help but grin. It was something he hadn't expected, for something not human to be so human, more human than many. It settled in his chest and he smiled, thinking of Cas as he began to move his fingers, mimicking the chords before finally starting to play, catching up and then taking the lead before Jason began to play more earnestly. He grinned again, nodding along as the other sang.
Jason had to give it to Dean... He sure as hell managed to pick it up a lot faster than he ever would have thought. Especially for a hunter, but before long Dean was matching him pace for pace and Jason smirked. "This is our... last night... But it's late and I'm tryin not to sleep cause I know... when I wake... I will have to slip away..." Jason sang softly, shifting his fingers so that he was picking up a slightly different rhythm than Dean, adding depth to the light music that filled the air. "And when the daylight comes I'll have to go... But tonight I'm gonna hold you so close... Cause in the daylight we'll be on our own. But tonight I need to hold you so close..."
Dean stumbled once or twice, but found himself back into the rhythm and song with ease. It was a lot easier to remember than he'd thought it would be, especially considering it'd be nearly ten years since he had picked up a guitar. Yet here he was, his hands going through the motions with some sort of ease. He grinned again and winked at Jason as the other continued to sing. Until finally the song was through and he shook his head, "I admit, it's not like my usual think, but... I can appreciate it a hell of a lot. It's good."
When the song was finished Jason's fingers delictely played at the strings for a little bit longer before stilling them. He let out a breath and grinned, turning to look at Dean. "Thanks. I like to think that before all of..." He paused and gestured to himself and the room around him. "...this... that music would have been my career. What I did with myself." He mused, letting out a breath.
Watching the way Jason's face lit up then darkened ever so slightly as he gestured around him, Dean's felt a sudden sympathy. His mind took him back to the world created by the Djinn. The world where Mary had lived, but everything had been so fucked up... And Dean Smith. Yeah Dean Smith who still ended up hunting. All of it and he swallowed. "I'm sure it would have. You're really honestly good." Dean tapped against the guitar again, a nervous habit he realized and looked up. "But some things in this life have to have been worth it. Like Cory." THat was the other wolf right? The one that Jason spent most of his internet life talking to? Flirting with.
"It's that way with everything usually, isn't it?" Jason questioned back, moving so that he set his guitar down beside himself against the couch. "Pros and cons... I like my life now, I won't say I don't. Cory, Paul, Bruce... All of them, their my family. And without this I would never have met them." He let out a breath and closed his eyes, smirking slightly. "But that doesn't stop you from wondering what it might have been like otherwise, y'know?"
"It's not worth is." Dean cut in suddenly and looked up, "I have a chance.. a djinn, nasty creature... Grants you a wish in your dreams, feeds off your blood while you're out." He strummed the guitar, replaying the song from earlier, messing up once and scowling. "It wasn't worth it, it was.. different... but my family.. my life.. it still..." He sighed, "Wasn't what I had now, it was empty." Dean licked his lips and shook his head, "Sorry."
"Djinn... Huh?" Jason repeated quietly, furrowing his brows. The name was familiar, like it was something he'd read about in a book as a child. Though he was sure it probably wasn't anywhere near accurate to what the actual thing was like. "I guess to each there own. My entire family would still be alive if this hadn't happened... At least you have your brother, y'know? Cory has his... But my family's gone." There was a note of something concealed beneath his voice, just barely hiden as he cleared his throat and sat back. "I guess I just have days where I miss 'em... that's all."
"Like a genie, but not pleasant." Dean explained quickly then and met his eyes. "I know.." He nodded as he spoke, hands clenching into fists, "I know what that's like.. My brother.. was gone for a while." Dean swallowed and sighed, "We all miss the ones we lost, but.. sometimes it's best to let the dead rest."
"Yeah, and I know that." Jason murmured quietly, swallowed as he shift a bit and closed his eyes. And for a moment, just a moment, he could see his little sister's face flash across a memory, smiling and laughing before it disappeared in favor of the torn up, bloodied body he'd found that horrible morning he'd woken up in the woods. "But that doesn't mean I don't wonder. She was eight... Only eight years old... y'know?"
Shutting his eyes, Dean looked away and remembered Sam at eight. Big eyes and trusting. Cute little brat that asked too many questions and read books that were way out of his age range and dreamt about things that weren't the monsters that haunted Dean at twelve. Sam, eight, young and sweet. "Yeah." His voice cracked, "Yeah." Opening his eyes, Dean blinked away the tears that were in his eyes and smiled at Jason, "I think now is when we break out the liquor and play who can play guitar while fucked up."
"I can tell you I'll win that one already." Jason murmured, laughing quietly as he blinked open his eyes and looked over at Dean, shaking his head. "Learned from the best of 'em." Meaning Bruce. After a minute he stood up and pointed towards a cabinet, hesitating before he crossed and moved to where a closed chest sat beside the tv stand. "Pick your poison. Pretty much guaranteed I have it."
"Well, see.. I might give you points for the werewolf thing, but I was basically composed of whiskey at one point in my life." Thinking about it, Dean revised. "More than one point. And dude, so did I." How often had John been drunk? Writing away in his journal with a bottle of whiskey in his hand. More often than not. Not to mention Bobby.. God. "Whiskey is pretty much it," He set the guitar aside and stood, opening the cabinet and smirking as he found a bottle almost immediately, "You sure got it." Grabbing the bottle, Dean didn't bother with a glass, merely opened the bottle and sat down, drinking straight from it and enjoying the burn.
Jason watched quietly as Dean snatched the whiskey, arching an eyebrow and concealing a laugh before he grabbed out his own alcohol of choice. A nice, square bottle of patron. It'd been a while and he had no reason not to let himself indulge. "Guess we'll see who can do it better. The wolf brought up on guitar playing and drinking... or the hunter brought up on drinking who hasn't touched a guitar in years." Jason opened up the patron and held it in the air, smiling slightly at Dean. "Cheers."
"Damn straight we will." Dean replied, holding up his own bottle with a laugh. "Cheers." He replied and took another drink, thinking about the irony of this moment and how... strangely peaceful it felt. He licked his lips and grinned, yeah a werewolf and hunter, it could work.
