I took into consideration Jasper’s feelings at the beginning when they first met. Jasper was always more of a friend to Leevi, even though they used to fight a lot. And Jasper was a lot more aggressive in return. Part of this was Jasper’s own issues etc. However, eventually they grew closer.

Even then, it took a while for Jasper to notice Leevi on a romantic or even aesthetically. I’ll point out that things have changed dramatically now. Now, Jasper does admire Leevi’s aesthetically. Well before he was comfortable enough with his sexuality to really explore his sexual desire for Leevi.

So first came friendship, then came aesthetics and romance (right around the same time) and then came sexual attraction. They’re all pretty even now though haha.

Leevi's eyes closed, reaching up on his toes for a kiss. In the moments that followed, Jasper couldn't help but admire his boyfriend. The short male with his eyes closed--- lips gently pursed in anticipation for Jasper's, a light flush on his tan cheeks. The way his long hair fell around his shoulders. The teen couldn't help but wonder to himself how he ever got so lucky, all before he drew Leevi close to his chest, giving in to his silent request.
