Highlights from my first trip to New York City for Comic Con!
I made the absolute most of the trip, spending my mornings and early afternoons exploring the city and my late afternoons and evenings at New York Comic Con with the publishers of my Aw, Nuts! graphic novel at the Mad Cave booth.
Here's the itinerary! WEDNESDAY Land at LaGuardia West New York, NJ (AirBnB check-in) Javits Center (pick up Comic Con badge) Hell's Kitchen (dinner)
THURSDAY Slept in 'til about 2pm (lack of sleep, woke up with migraine) Comic Con Planet Rose (East Village, for karaoke) FRIDAY Central Park (2 hr walkabout) Greenwich Village (Friends apartment, Little Owl, White Horse) The High Line (walk back to Javits for Comic Con) Comic Con SATURDAY Liberty National Park (ferry to Liberty Island) Ellis Island (on the way to Statue of Liberty) Statue of Liberty Battery Park Chinatown (Me Sum Cafe, Mabu Cafe) Comic Con RPM Underground (downtown, for karaoke) SUNDAY Comic Con RPM Underground
MONDAY LaGuardia (bag drop 6 hrs early) Jackson Heights, Queens (billiards, lunch at Gorkhali--fantastic!) LaGuardia (flight home, delayed 3 hrs)
