miae being put next to jisu is like when teachers put quiet kids next to troublemakers and pray to any god for balance. and as someone who speaks for the quiet kids in this situation, i just can't let that slide

there's a very evident pattern of cheol being notoriously bad with phone calls and leaving pager messages and it's entertaining me very much so

the aslfua experience is starting it for the silly shenanigans and slowburn, but then getting run over by a truck when you think about kim cheol for a little too long!!

guy who has never had a moment of peace ever since he got that scar and is constantly ostracized for something that is completely out of his control. put said guy in a situation that involves moving from place to place, never a moment of rest, not even a breath. remind him each and every time that no matter where he goes, he will always be made into something he isn't. remind him that each and every time peace is within arm's reach, it will be taken away from him.

guy who learns to keep quiet, keep his distance, keep the peace, lest he bring everything to ruin once more and all the things he's worked so hard to protect will crumble to dust. do this, this, and that, and everything will be okay. don't engage, don't initiate. study hard, place first, and your childhood home is yours again.

guy who is in survival mode 24/7. guy who still flinches when people pass by him at night. guy who lives in perpetual fear that those who grow too close to him will wind up hurt. guy whose genuine kindness is relentlessly misjudged for something horrible and ugly. guy who is reminded of this one random tuesday night and has to curl up in his bed and cry for a little while. guy who gets back up the next day to do it all over again. don't engage, don't initiate, study hard, place first. everything will be ok soon.

one of my favourite things about cheol is just how. earnest he is. there's no sugar coating, no beating around the bush. sure he's not the most emotionally intuitive, and it takes him a while to say what needs to be said, but when he genuinely speaks his mind, you can tell how sincere he is. cheol is always thinking. he's always thinking about the best course of action, the thing he must, and CAN do in this very moment. even though, at the end of the day, he is still a stupid, anxious teenager who stumbles with his words, he's always trying. and he won't waste time letting himself be heard when it matters most.

cheol has a sixth sense for when miae is in deep shit and it is so . funny.

mo jinseop is so deeply average in all aspects except for his face and it is Hilarious. declared school celebrity but his dating life is in shambles. Lots of friends but they're all more so people you make small talk with in grocery store lines. Pretty Good at all sports, but isn't good enough to go pro. can't study for shit. you'd think his family is incredibly well off and wealthy but no his family is just as average as he is. he's petty, whiny, and cheap. the only expensive thing about him is the astronomical amount of hair gel he uses every morning, and maybe that's like one of three things he cares about in this day and age. jinseop is just so teenage boyflop and i need to see him again like Yesterday.
