Creativity collapse

As of this morning, my laptop won't turn on. It's the end of a very long spiral of losing computers and devices. I'm down to a cracked tablet. I had to download the tumblr app just to post this, because it's important. This moment, right here, is important. It's not the bottom. I've been homeless and a hitchhiker for years, I know the bottom is a long ways down. A long ways. You wouldn't believe how far down. I have a cracked tablet, a few spare bucks, and I'm sick as hell in spring, which is something new and completely unwelcome. It all comes at a time when demand is highest, and my art is on the rise. Burning Man is looking for someone to envision the map this year, an artist and to work with me on creating a steampunk compass for the playa, and design by humans is having a watercolor contest that I would be perfect for. Opportunity is exploding, and my ability to express and create is collapsing. I don't know what tomorrow brings. I know it will take painful choices, and that is why this moment is important. It is a landmark and a reminder on why these choices must be made, and to make a measurement of where the future follows on this moment. No matter how painful, this is not the end.
