Jayce may not be stupid, but he is far from wise.
Numbers and calculations are concrete things. The Defender of Tomorrow knows them all: every last equation, every last problem, every last algebra suite like the back of his hand. They are consistent. He can get them to work the way he wants them to. They lift and he plugs in, poring over one blueprint after another. Most of all: they don’t talk back.
It could be said that Piltover’s hero isn’t a people person. That’s not true, at least by way of Jayce-- he isn’t a dumb people person, and unfortunately, his work is rife with the dumb and the idiots and the morons and the-- well, whichever.
The only way into Jayce’s heart is through the mirror.
Just don’t set the bar too high.
