"GIVE ME FLOWERS WHILE I CAN SMELL THEM"

Jay Mckay discovered art in the public schools of New Orleans and enrolled at arts high school @nocca.nola . Following Hurricane Katrina Jay moved to Washington DC to continue his art education and was sponsored to study African art in Cape Town, South Africa. Now back in New Orleans Jay owns the @ArtistLodgeNola Tattoo Gallery and also carries on his grandfather's Mardi Gras Indian tradition of creating his own handmade suits. In addition to creating tattoos he has been showing his art in galleries since 2015 and in 2018 Jay worked with @NolaMuralProject and painted this mural on Franklin Ave at St Claude. @artby_jay/
