Jaz-O released his debut album Word To The Jaz May 2, 1989
Shawn Corey Carter (born December 4, 1969), known professionally as JAY-Z, is a rapper, businessman and is a father of three. He is one of the best selling musicians of all time, having over 100 million records while receiving 21 Grammy Awards. He is on a number lists naming him best rapper. One could say hip hop saved J-Z’s life he was involved in selling drugs and spent time in jail soon he started his career in the mid-1990s had a rap group with his mentor and partner, Jazz-O. They called themselves, Jazz &Jay-Z. The two had an early ‘90s hip hop sound that was more afro-centric, consciousness, and less materialistic. you can see that’s where he developed his fast-paced rap cadence. Jay -Z went solo and he released his first solo studio album, Reasonable Doubt in 1996 and it received critical and commercial success. Outside of music, he is a successful businessman owning The 40/40 Club, co-creating the clothing line Rocawear, and founding Rock Sports Nation. Jay-Z collaborates with various artists in and outside of hip-hop. He is lucky enough to be married and work Beyoncé. Jay-Z is able to balance being a rapper, businessman, and family man without any problems.
