What did Gus mean by "Well i'm not" When hazel said that they are just friends

i think it means that hazel is just friends but gus isnt because he wants them together

i also like to think that when her mom says "you two are so adorable" that gus is saying hazel is adorable and hes not but that might just be me :P

O forgot why are Hazel and Augustus crying on the bench in Amsterdam??

I may get torn up for this but.. I am not really 100% sure. 

There is a bench scene in Amsterdam where they talk about some heavy stuff (like his ex) but I don’t really know if it’s cry worthy. I didn’t read the scene that way, unless I really missed something here. 

Augustus does his Christmas Tree declaration inside Hazel’s room so that wouldn’t be it - unless they altered the location in the movie. 

It could just be general stuff of pain. They have a lot of that in their lives. 

Now I could be way off base here. If I am, can someone help us out? My brain is a scrambled mess of statistics right now. It may be interfering with my ability to properly TFIOS.
