It was kind of a blur, you know. It happened so fast, I mean the whole situation happened quickly. We were - I was sitting at home, literally days before the VMAs. And you know, Justin gave me a ring and he said he wanted to basically make a section in his performance with us. And so you know, I obviously said, yeah I wanted to be supportive of my friend and so we put it together and it - but, it literally happened in the blink of an eye from the time where you know, flying to the east coast doing a couple rehearsals and then all the sudden next thing, you know, you’re on stage in front of you know, millions of people at home that I mean - It was a blur.

It's a fortunate that I had success in the past that I can make the record that I wanted to make, you know. It's a matter of, I don't have to make it right but if I'm gonna make it, I get to make it my way. Some people say it's a risk or it's - you know, but it's what I needed to do, that's why. I think people appreciate the record because it doesn't sound like everything else out there. It's just something that it was like, 'wow he was in that vibe that day, that's cool.'

Some of us worked, we all lived in the same house. Yeah, we were all piled into one, and Joey was to live with his mom and dad. But uh, the rest of us lived in a house together. And you know, day in and day out every day, we do like three and four hour rehearsals every night, you know, working on our singing and dancing. We've always been dedicated to it, you know, since the day we decided -'okay we're going to be a group.' We're going to do it from that point on, it was dedication. We wanted to make it happen and you know, once our break came, we took advantage of it.

Again, I'm really excited about the show that I'm on because it has a very different dynamic from a lot of the other dance shows. A lot of them are based on individual talents. This is a team sport almost like football or basketball, which you get a camaraderie and if somebody else falls, you get to watch the story of somebody getting picked up. And every crew that you see, you're not looking at one story. You're getting at least five background stories. One of our dancers is deaf this year, one of our - I mean, there's just some really really incredible stories.

Everyone kinda of holds their own standard of success and what they want their success to be. And I think we've always been about just doing what we've always done in the beginning. We just wanted to make music. We've wanted to entertain people.
