Speculation and mentions of spoilers for CM 200th episode
I'm still wondering how JJ and Cruz are connected beyond whatever happened in season 6. For all we know, they never met before season 6 and their relationship is completely work related. I'm still not the fence about them being related and hoping that it has a connection to JJ's sister, Roz (yay she has a name!). I'd be happy if they worked with each other pre BAU, but whatever the connection is, I want it to be good and believable. I want to see more of Cruz, so I hope he isn't evil. He can be a little bad, as long as he hangs around after 200 and doesn't mess up any potential JJ and Hotch scenes. However, for all we know Cruz knew Prentiss for a longtime one before he ever met JJ. It's more plausible after that screen shot which showed he worked not he same team Prentiss around the same time. Season 6 was about Prentiss, so it's plausible that Cruz helped JJ with the Prentiss going into hiding thing. Also I think it's kind of obvious many of the writers prefer or are more comfortable, writing for Prentiss' character, so this could all just be related to Prentiss. She is going to be featured in flashbacks and the present case, there are many Prentiss fans (I could take or leave her) and it would be a typical pre season 7 JJ focused episode to become about someone else... I hope not, I wanted JJ's arc to be completely different to the Prentiss season 6 story line, sure mention it because it was a big deal during JJ's time away, but she must have been involved in more away from the BAU and it would be better to show how much JJ is her own character with her own story line and progression, rather than getting lost in the glory in having Prentiss back and making the story line something which repeats what has already happened. This, I'm hoping, is not the case. I do have faith in the writers and hope that they've come up with a believable arc rather than recreating the superspy crap. I do think it's been very different so far and they have put subtle nods in to whatever JJ's going through, but RD was a champion of season 6 Superspy crap, so I hope he doesn't get pulled back into that once again. Next week looks so promising, I just want to know more about jj and Cruz and hopefully get a good JJ and Hotch scene(s).
