This time of year, Rafael felt like he was out more than he was at home. He spent his time shopping, grabbing dinner with friends, running errands for his mother and father. On that particular day, that was where he found himself, in the suburbs to drop off a package that his mother needed delivered to a friend. Rather than drive, he had decided to park near the shopping center, and walk to their house and back. Get a little fresh -- albeit incredibly brisk -- air. All the more reason to stop into Paco's for dinner, or maybe grab a warm muffin at Flour Co. His thoughts were pulled away from that when he heard the chime of a door bell as someone stepped out into the sidewalk, side stepping to give them room, and smiling when he recognized the person exiting Jack in the Box.
