“I’m sorry - I love your accent. You’re from England?” Jean greeted the man standing before her desk outside of Patrick’s office at Pierce & Pierce. She doesn’t remember speaking to anyone on the phone making an appointment with that accent. Maybe he had someone make the appointment for him...or maybe...maybe he didn’t have an appointment.

There’s a new emptiness surrounding Jean. Fresh night air replaces the stale that once filled her lungs. With each breath her chest grows larger, even exceeding the its original state. Though there was a great deal of space in the bunker, there was a limit. Now it was once again infinite and Jean would not be taking it for granted.
Walk into the grocery store, like you’ve done a hundred times before. This time when the bell chimes and echoes throughout the florescent aisle stacked with nobody it won’t be any different.
