This weekend, my best friend (@hopeful-days-and-stormy-nights) and I traveled all the way from France to see Spector -my favourite band- three nights in a row. It was probably the most exhausting and emotionally draining thing I’ve ever done, traveling from city to city everyday by coach (don’t talk to me about megabus for at least 2 weeks) and getting crushed every night -except in Sheffield, what the hell Sheffield. Yet it was also the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I got to spend a whole week with my best friend -whom I had rarely seen lately because of work- and see my favourite band every night. The gigs were all amazing -even though being French we’re not used to such violent audiences and ended up badly bruised- and kind of life-changing. We also got to meet them all and they were all super nice. (I’m not posting any picture of us with them except the one with Fred because they’re all horrendous). Anyway, what I want to say is, if you ever get the chance to follow your favourite band on tour for a few days or the whole tour and you feel you’re physically and emotionally strong enough to do it then please, do it. You’ll probably end up crying on a bus anyways but it will still be the best thing that’s happened to you in a year, or in your entire life.
