Oh gosh, I'm really sorry if I came off as offensive in my post. I don't mind the fact she's disliked, really, it's just the outright bashing for her character overall that really frustrates me about the fandom. People see it different ways, but a lot of time people just disregard her entirely. I really hope I didn't bother you too much.

Yeah, that happens a lot in the Marvel fandom. It’s really not my place to judge, since I haven’t been active in the fandom for about a year, but I feel that there are a number of people there who really do see things as black and white. “A woman isn’t beating a guy to the ground? A woman has a lot of sex? Must not be a positive female character.” That in and of itself is a really big issue because that’s essentially counter-feminism, which isn’t pretty.
You’re entitled to your defense of the character as well as I am entitled to my opinion of the character—I’m just glad we’ve reached an understanding that we’re on the same team!
