This is my new @kieselguitars LM7X! I have some different builds of this model, from loud and green, to pretty and blue/purple. This time I wanted to go with a more classic burst. As always, @jeffkiesel took my idea and made it better than I could have imagined. He started by roasting the swamp ash body that all LMX models come with. This reduces the weight by 15% and also helps it to sound a bit different. This is exciting because when I have a studio full of LMX models, it’s nice to have one that can offer a different take on tone. On to my favorite part... the roasted quilted maple neck. It’s absolutely stunning. It also feels amazing! We didn’t change anything about the way I like my neck finished, but roasting it naturally made it feel a bit more slick and frosty. I’m in love! As always, my signature Illusionist bridge pickup and piezo system is what really makes this thing a completely versatile guitar for any player of any genre. You need one. He also made @jomckinney_ an LM6X that you can see at the end! I couldn’t be more thankful to work with one of my best friends @jeffkiesel when it comes to guitars. I don’t even know where to begin with this one. Long story short, since we started designing the LMX in the spring, I’ve been telling @jeffkiesel I wanted one this exact way. Well today it showed up and I’m speechless, drooling, emotional, in love, and the list goes on! This one has the “monster burst” finish that @kieselcarvinguitars does. It’s always been my favorite. It has a baked maple fretboard with the matching monster burst “LM” inlay. It’s equipped with my signature Illusionist bridge pickup. I need to say one thing about Kiesel to all artists and players out there - they aren’t lying when they invite you to “join the family.” From believing in me years ago, to my wedding day, to picking up the phone any time day or night to help out, Jeff has been a true friend and brother.
