In Memory of Jeff White (Cristalamigocerveza) by jlst2i A good friend to me and to many on Flickr, Jeff White, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020. Even though Jeff had been battling cancer for a long while, he stayed active on Flickr, especially the Super Six and Galaxy and Stars groups, until shortly before his death. So many of my days on Flickr began with a greeting from Jeff. Jeff loved Cuba and in December of 2017 he married his fiancee, Melissa, there. Since then, Jeff struggled with a daunting amount of red tape and expense to have his wife come and live with him in Canada. I was so happy for him when he told me, around Christmas time, that the government had informed him that there were only 47 days left for the sponsorship of Melissa to be completed. It was with a very heavy heart that I learned that he died before she was able to join him. My deepest sympathies go out to Melissa, to the rest of Jeff's family, and to all his friends, on and off Flickr. Rest in peace, my dear friend. https://flic.kr/p/2ijrzbZ
