Here's another snippet from Chapter 1 of "A Lady's Guide to Love and Desire"
Renji looked down at his whiskey glass. “I haven’t thought too hard about it,” he admitted. “But I know for sure that I want a woman who loves me for who I am– someone who won’t judge me for being born a peasant.” A memory came to his mind unbidden– the lovely young woman he met only yesterday, while taking Hector for a walk. He found himself remembering her violet eyes, her curious smile, and how polite she had been towards him. Just who was that woman? Renji wished he had learned her name before leaving. But alas, all he could do now was hope that he could meet her again eventually. And when he did, he would make sure to learn her name.
