Purple Striped Jellyfish: The jellyfish get its name from the purple stripes on its bell. Juveniles are a pinkish color and its tentacles are long and dark maroon. As they age, the dark maroon color of the tentacles starts to fade, the purple appears as stripes on the bell and the four frilly oral arms will also become longer. In addition, the tentacles thicken and the purple stripes start to darken and the tentacles start to look pale, its oral arms like to disappear.

Crystal Jellyfish: It can expand its mouth when feeding to swallow jellies more than half its size. When disturbed, it gives off a green-blue glow because of more than 100 tiny, light-producing organs surrounding its outer bell. This jelly is harvested for its luminescent aequorin, used in neurological and biological experiments to detect calcium.

Deep Red Jellyfish: Unlike other cnidarians, this species lives its entire life in the planktonic stage or the planula stage. Another unique trait off this species is that it does not develop into a polyp. Polyps typically produce the sexual reproduction gametes of cnidarians by budding. These polyps are stationary and non-moving forms of cnidarians. Others will reproduce sexually in the medusa stage, where they are free-swimming cnidarians.

Fried Egg Jellyfish: It feeds primarily by collecting medusae and plankton with its tentacles, and bringing them into its mouth for digestion. It is capable of only limited motion, and mostly drifts with the current, even when swimming. This species and most of its relatives in the Cnidaria phylum often use suspension feeding as their main food gathering strategy.

Dustbin-Lid Jellyfish: It is common in the Irish Sea. It typically is up to 16in. in diameter, but can exceptionally reach 59in. or larger, making it the largest jellyfish in British and Irish waters. It is moderately venomous but not as deadly as other species. Effects include a burning sensation on the skin, dermatitis, and ulcers which confirms it is toxic to humans. However, it does not pose a serious threat.

Black Sea Nettle Jellyfish: The black sea nettle can be quite massive, with a bell diameter potentially up to 3ft and oral arms extending to 16 or 20ft. The bell color is a distinctive opaque dark purple to nearly black, with the margin having a lighter brown reticulated pattern. The specific epithet, achylos, is constructed from the Greek achlys, meaning "mist, darkness, and obscurity", in reference to both the species' coloration and the rarity of its sightings.

Cauliflower Jellyfish: known to be one of the most venomous jellyfish. Although they have large amounts of venom deadly to their prey, their stings and venom is not harmful to humans. They are actually known to be eaten by humans located mostly in Japan and China. The dish is a delicacy in the Japanese and Chinese cultures. This particular species of jellyfish is used also used for medicinal purposes for humans.

Sea Wasp Jellyfish: Commonly known as the Australian box jelly, and nicknamed the sea wasp, is a species of extremely venomous box jellyfish found in coastal waters from northern Australia and New Guinea to Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia and Singapore, the Philippines and Vietnam. It has been described as "the most lethal jellyfish in the world", with at least 64 known deaths in Australia from 1884 to 2021.
