character rant below(will have spoilers for his story/route)

i’ll be honest, i completely missed timmy’s full storyline/route the first two times i played the game. i thought they actually were two separate identities, so i was always afraid to lock myself out of timothy’s love ending cause i loved that silly clock. i thought that when timothy talked about the player seeing all of him n still loving him, that that was the correct route.

eventually i caved n played through timmy’s love route, n i ended up falling in love w his character even more(wow, jelly loving the characters that mask, who woulda thought).

learning that timmy had made timothy not only to make a version of himself that people liked, but to also protect them from something in himself he sees as destructive/dangerous? i can’t help but sympathize with his story.

i started off not really taking timmy’s route seriously, n it makes me glad i played through timmy’s love route n stuck through it. i love characters that are seen as “joke” characters that also have such a compelling story. a lovely mix between humor and feelings that i always fall in love with every time.

barry was such a pleasant surprise for me. i didn’t expect to fall in love with his character as much as i did. when i’d first gotten the game i had no idea he existed, n i’m kind of glad i got to have a completely blind reaction to his character. i never was a fan of makeup/cosmetics n stuff, but i could find myself falling in love w it if i’d ever met someone like barry irl.

you can tell just how genuine his love for things is, n there never really seemed to be a wrong answer to his questions(except for the obvious hate ones ofc) with how he could always see the good in something. not to mention how genuinely frustrated he is about not being able to be more present??

listening to his story, n helping him through his struggles helped me sympathize more with my own forgetfulness and tendency to ramble. seeing my own struggles in barry n not only learning how to help deal with them, but that they’re okay??? perfection. absolute perfection.

another ghost like zoey but they’ve possessed an object in the house (could be a doll n make it a cheeky reference to annabelle, or have it simple like a toy or picture/painting)

when you first see them they probably freak out thinking that they’ve finally been noticed(i could see it being like zoey, but it could be turned a diff way if it’s a vengeful ghost or something), but the player thinks they’re just another object initially. so the ghost just plays along

i could see the ghost playing along in fear they’ll be forgotten again, n the love/friend story route dealing with heavy themes of grief and letting go

eventually i think it’d be revealed (make it fucked up n make it so that if you visit them at a specific time, you’ll be able to talk to the actual object instead of the ghost. revealing that they’re being controlled)

at this point is when you have to decide whether you’re doing a love/friend/hate route. maybe for the love route, you can separate the ghost from the object n realize them both. friend route you set the ghost free n then can only realize the object. n hate route the ghost ends up haunting the entire house n fucks with some endings to make it harder to become lovers/friends with specific objects and/or locking certain routes until you can exorcise the ghost.

i def think the ghost n object would have a good relationship at least. the object feeling for the ghost, but never being able to comfort them despite the pain. n the ghost clinging desperately to the object, finding comfort in it even though they can’t see/feel the object’s care.
