She had two New York solo shows and an essay about Kate Millett in the pipeline.
I saw this and then came back to the story a couple of times over the past week.
Part of me will never accept that all we are can be taken away so quickly, mercilessly and pointlessly.
I had no idea that Crain existed until this. But if you have the sense that you’re on a path of empathically making all of human experience in some way your own, you feel with increasing poignancy that any death could be your own, any suffering, any cloud in the sky, anything.
Hold tight gently (to quote the title of a book you should all read by Martin Duberman) to the most important things and to those rare few who your principle of your existence was meant to be close to.
