January 1, 2019 - Jerdon's Bushchat (Saxicola jerdoni)
Found in a scattered range in tall lowland grasslands in parts of India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam, these chats may be locally extinct in Myanmar. They feed on insects, foraging by perching on grasses or other low plants and flying to the ground to capture their prey. Breeding mostly between February and May, they build compact cup-shaped nests.
