did we watch the same musical ? do you really think that if jared didn't like evan he wouldve stuck with him through the entirety of the project for $20 ? i don't think he was inviting evan over to drink for car insurance , was he ?

besides that , it's glaringly obvious that when jared is "being a jerk to evan" it's not genuine . he's pushing evan away while also obtaining attention (although negative).

before i say this next bit : i like treebros . it's a ship i enjoy . however .

"they would've been actually good friends if connor didn't die and actually got some help at least" is an incredibly unrealistic take .

connor was doomed from the start . he'd already been put through as much "help" as was accessible to him , and he was still struggling far too much to have been saved .

furthermore , i firmly believe connor would not have been a good friend (or anything else) to evan . connor is deeply afraid of being emotionally vulnerable and would not have been able to uphold a healthy relationship as we knew him .
