Jerica sipped at the coffee, a scowl on her face. She was exhausted and hated coffee, but it had more caffeine and was readily available at the corner store. That and it wasn’t one of those energy drinks. Ugh, those things tasted horrible. She paid for the drink and headed out. Seriously, she would need to make a point to bring in an electric kettle so she could make tea or something instead of coming here to buy this.
Her long, dark hair was pulled into a ponytail, though a few strands of bangs had escaped. Irritably she tucked them behind an ear and headed toward her office. Too many weird things happened in the city when night fell, and she wanted to spend as little time in it until she had an idea for what was going on. And that was what the caffeine was for. Well, that and a prospective client wanted to meet at dusk.
Jerica reached her office and went about getting things turned on. Her client should be here in another ten minutes.
