Civil War (2024) & Jericho (2007)
Have you seen Jericho (2006-2008)?
Yes
Partially
No, but I've heard of it
Never heard of it
Jericho, in episodes that aired in 2008, have a thread about a virus they call the Hudson River virus that the new government in Cheyenne is telling everyone has not crossed the Mississippi. The characters discover that it has indeed crossed the Mississippi and one town in Missouri lost 220 people in a week.
(Also, the characters pretty much freak the hell out at that death toll.)
Funny (and scary) how a 12-year-old show is more than a little timely in 2020, isn’t it?
literally nobody talks or has ever talked about jericho but i’m two seconds from writing a whole fucking thinkpiece on the dynamic between jake green and robert hawkins because it makes me lose my MIND
Jake Green should have been with Heather Lisinski. I said what I said.
being old friends with Jake Green would include:
growing up together in Jericho
being best friends with Jake and Eric
having your first kisses with each other
sleepovers at his and yours houses
having the same music taste
jam sessions
pulling pranks on Eric
Gail and Johnston being like your second set of parents
and Eric is your noisy brother
being there when Jake breaks up with Emily and takes off the town
leaving after him
being the only one who’s getting his calls god knows where from
reuniting right before attacks in Jericho
staying beside him when everything goes to hell
So, this is the 45th one! As i said, English is not my native language, and i am sorry for any mistakes.

FANDOMS I WRITE ABOUT
my most goated tv shows
the x-files. she is the moment, she is the blueprint. my longest and most integral love. my brightest obsession, she was there during my brain-forming years and impacted my television tastes for the rest of my life. mulder and scully you are everything to me. it's why i have a deep yearning at all times for codependent UST ships.
stargate sg-1. the perfect example of an episodic show that still has overarching stories. wonderful characters. found family. all in a scifi setting with aliens and spaceships. my favorite woman in the world: sam carter, awkward adorable world-saving supergenius, the loml. i've been obsessed with the x-files longer, but sg1 is the MOST obsessed i've ever been about a show. until a challenger appeared..
criminal minds. cue beatles' michelle 'i love you i love you i looooove you' refrain. criminal minds, ma belle. sont des mots qui vont tres bien ensemble. my newest love, yet it holds many candles to the ones i've loved for decades. she's reignited my love for fandom after many years. obsessed with the characters (penelope garcia is very quickly reaching sam carter levels of adoration and obsession for me). obsessed with the story. and garvez, my garvez, has quickly become one of my top otps ever.
community. the most forcibly found family ever, lmao. quirky, loser misfit characters making their way through life together, forming an unbreakable bond and having the most absolutely insane adventures throughout. some of the episodes are so brilliantly written that i have to imagine they are used as examples in tv writing classes.
dexter. the world's hottest, most relatable serial killer. he's awkward. he's weird. he's unintentionally hilarious. he only killed people who deserved it (uhh mostly. rip doakes.). not to mention the wholesome yet twisted relationship between dexter and deb. my god. this show was so fucked but SO GOOD. unparalleled.
law and order criminal intent. the best law and order for anyone interested in well written cases, crimes, and bad guys. and once a shipper always a shipper, i manage to find the gold deep under the dirt and ship the hell out of goren and eames. i've watched all the law and orders and none of them hold up to LOCI, the goat of all l&os, if i may be so bold.
psych. i call this one the 'freaks matched' show. you have shawn & gus, platonic soulmates, best friends and brothers forever. & you have carlton & juliet, two cops who love being cops and form a deep, unbreakable partnership bond. maximum irreverance with a heart of gold.
jericho. this show has my whole heart. nuclear bombs and small town politics and some of the cutest romances and fun spy shit and also an anti-capitalist thinkpiece on the overreach of corporations along with the danger of private paramilitirazation groups and how these elements could come together to cause the downfall of american government. just your usual family drama.
parks & rec. the best one of these look-into-the-camera-documentary-ish style sitcoms. i'm a sucker for lovable band of misfits become a found family, obviously, but p&r also has the distinction of being insanely funny. i identify with half the characters. i'm a leslie-ben-april-ron.
the good place. one of the most amazing first seasons of a show. another lovable group of wacky misfits who become a family. and chidi and eleanor, an incredible romance between two AMAZING characters that makes my heart flutter. all topped off with a devastating series finale that makes me ugly sob every time i watch it. clever, funny, and emotional - the best sort of comedy.
star trek voyager. voyager was a show that was more about the characters than the stories. these people were friends, lovers, coworkers, exes.. family. the plots were zany and silly and funny, and they never apologized for it. it's the funnest trek with the most fleshed-out characters. tom/b'elanna is one of the best romances of all of trek, a beautiful story of a complex woman and her simp man who likes it when she manhandles him. and a female captain!! kathryn janeway, i love you. i'll never forget that time she wanted to fuck a hologram so she told the computer to delete his wife. <3
