Ever wondered what's Jerome's height? No? Or Neil's? Well anyway, I estimated it some time ago
So, based on MLs canon heights:
(sorry for the quality)
The difference between Vyn (178) and Jerome is about the same as between Artem (182) and Marius (188), so 6cm. Which would make him around 172. But! It's roughly estimated so I'll lean towards 174 instead ^^
So. The answer is about 174cm ^^
Also. Neil is ever so slightly shorter than Jerome, mayhaps. My bet is 172cm
Okay imagine this. Jerome Adams gentle whump. Hes *so sweet* as long as you do what he would like you to but the moment you get on his nerves too much you'll end up with him carefully holding you in place, one of his syringes stuck in your arm ^^
Oh to have Jerome caress your hair as youre struggling with the pain he is the cause of, whispering the sweet promise that it'll feel good if you just cooperate with him, in that unsettlingly beautiful voice of his *dreamy sigh*
I miss Jerome, have a messy post collecting knowledge on Gladiolus building design and also Jerome's home
I've never been to a chemical lab, I'm just bored and I miss him. Also all quotes are from 15 unless they're not
Sooo if you didn't play episode 15 yet here's your spoiler warning
Gladiolus valley (and everything that's wrong with it)
Starting with more aesthetic wise. what really caught my attention at first is that it seems like the designer really loved putting the logo in every possible place
And also on more screens and obviously on building front. Haha the designer must've really liked it, I mean, it sure does look great (I even made a shirt with Gladiolus logo haha)
Is this important? I don't know but consider this:
"these are sword lilies. It's flower language means longevity, health, and eternal remembrance. It's is also known as gladiolus." (Jerome ep 9 or 10)
Most of the lab also seems to be in white-grayish colors with quite some blue accents and a lot of long rectangular lamps or building elements. Cool
From trailer- long lamps in hallway, rectangular design of building front, are those shiny things windows or just decoration?
In lab room it looks like it's grayish walls but blue lights. And a fragment of floor in "basement", near the cells, of course also blue and shiny. I'm starting to think the designer just loved blue shiny geometric, I mean, very valid
And same kinda lightning on Evil Stairs™
Here I'm kind of wondering who thought this was a good idea as the lights will shine in your eyes if you try to go up lol but maybe that's on purpose
Tbh if I had a suspicious basement that'd be great design (tho I'd prefer to have lasers too)
Something I like personally are their screens and boards with cut corners, feels a little impractical but looks cool
And love the plants near main entrance, very spot on for something named after flower haha
I like their design aesthetic wise, the combination of plants and geometrical elements is kinda my taste I guess? but the amount of gray sounds annoying to me personally, and blue lights feel somewhat ineffective. Wouldn't it give worse light for similar amount of electricity? Weird.
Now from more practical side. In the center there's 16 identical lab rooms (I assume it's for both ease of adapting to work and so it's harder for outsider to find way?) plus rooms like substance storage or more office like rooms. And the suspicious part with holding cells/"basement"
"it's said that there are 16 identical laboratories like this in Gladiolus Valley, all of which shut down after Wilson Sorges disappearance"
And they have a dorm, which is where Wilson typically lives and likely where Jerome stays when he's not home
"Also, he has a place in Stellis, but he usually stays in the employee dormitory at Gladiolus Valley and rarely goes home."
The rooms are soundproof, which makes a lot of sense given their illegal activities. However I'm really wondering why is it that it's easy to hide under their tables? Weird, really weird.
"The entire office has been equipped with special soundproofing, so no noise can be heard from the outside." (Darius 15)
And the building layout. It appears to be simple but has a lot of dead ends. Cool I want Jerome to prevent me from leaving
"Simply put, it's easy to enter but hard to leave." (Ogier)
"This building is specially renovated to prevent guests from leaving without notice." (Jerome)
My assumption is that on ground level and higher floors there's the lab rooms and offices, and a part of building is the dormitories. Like, 4-6 floors total? I assume that the cells plus some lab equipment would be on underground level (which is why I refuse to stop calling it basement), according to typical villain logic.
A nice view of ground level hall
Office looking room on left, lab on right?
More lab rooms and a turn
How very nice of them to have exit signs
Yeah so I assume the normal looking door are to offices like these
...because this is how lab room doors and gladiolus weird exits look like
Lab doors almost for sure can only be unlocked with ID or something like that. And they don't seem to have handles?
"For security purposes, the so-called drug storage room is now used exclusively for important samples and can be directly accessed from Wilson Sorge's office.
He unlocks the door with a beep, only to realize that Adams hasn't followed him immediately as he had expected." (14.2)
Also it looks like lab rooms have hallway windows and offices have normal windows?
The higher levels are probably similar. Now, my theory is that if you take correct stairs and don't get pushed down you end up in "basement".
The only pic we have I think?
Where do you piss and why do they need mirror
The walls are grayish too. It's their lightning that makes it blueish.
The conditions in lower lab:
"The temperature control system installed in the laboratory protects the various resources within it by keeping each room at a temperature of about 21 degrees all year round." (14.1)
"Is that so? Perhaps it is because the environment here is a little similar to when I do experiments in the lab." (Jerome about being arrested lol)
...now, I've never been to a chemical lab but the conditions are also similar to an electronics clean-room. ah yes, the low oxygen place, just thinking about it gives me headache...
And it's totally basement because
"The switching of guards is just a standard personnel change. As for vehicles moving in and out... I seriously doubt you can hear that from here." (Jerome 14.1)
Also there's no windows.
"Wilson no longer pays attention as Adams quietly prepares to exit the room.
Just as Jerome reaches for the cold metal door handle, he glances back over his shoulder." (14.forgot which)
So, normal kind of door there?
"The iron-frame bed he is half-lying on faces a screen, playing a DVD that Jerome Adams brought.
The vibrant colors and shadows flicker in the gray-white room, enveloping both of them in this strange space." (14.forgot)
...why??? Okay so things that they have in basement: a clock, for whatever reason a DVD player, and cameras. Probably in all building a lot of cameras, I mean that's the most normal thing there
There's also an exit to rooftop somewhere.
It's certainly very good design for a suspicious lab... Very inspiring (:
Now, onto Jerome's home!
His home feels very simple and there's not much info so idk how much sense I'll be making
Starting with basic info: Newleaf apartments, building 6 apartment 205, 4th floor. Rundown building, not many people live there. The security isn't very good and there's little cameras in the area.
"You look up and gaze at the old building. It seems to have been built in the previous century.
Judging from the rundown balconies, it looks like many of the units are vacant and haven't been serviced for a very long time.
Apartment 205, the one you're looking for, doesn't look as bad in comparison to the others. However, there are no signs of the balcony being recently used either.
The old hallways clearly haven't been cleaned in years. They are filled with the cold, musty scent of mold." (11.1)
"The bedroom window is wide open. Below is an unobstructed concrete road, and Jerome Adams lives on the fourth floor..."
Jerome has a balcony then ^^
"The area is part of Stellis' early infrastructure. The buildings are old, with narrow roads, small alleys, and poor CCTV coverage."
"The security around here is quite average, but anyone breaking into my house probably won't gain much."
...all this means he can easily come and go unnoticed. yayy
I'm not sure where exactly it is but he seems to be living close to the supermarket where he works since he's walking home (so, walking distance from Catalpa Road)
His living room :D
Well, the inside looks rather cozy, old but cozy. He isn't doing very well but still takes good care of it
It looks like there's a sofa and armchair, from the same set as other furniture? It fits the room nicely. I guess in the part we don't see is the door to balcony.
He does have a TV table but does he have a TV? There's a remote, so maybe?
I like his collection of discount flyers and hotel slippers
And what's that bowl for? Looks like a fruit bowl or candy bowl to me.
"Wilson Sorge casually tosses the bandages into the trash can, narrowing his eyes as he takes in his student."
Okay, so also a trash can in living room.
"Inside the rainbow glass door under the TV cabinet, several brown medicine bottles are neatly arranged."
Mmm, Lukes medicine bottles. So he keeps them at home??
Aaand there's hidden cameras! Interesting things you have in there Jerome dear
"Yeah, we later found hidden cameras in his house." (Darius 11.2)
Does he like cameras? I mean, he did think it's a great idea to record Neil for some reason. Okay, interesting taste
Now his kitchen!
From both illustrations there's at least 3 glass cups, and also 2 teacups? If I remember well? Also some glass bowls, a microwave and some... other cooking appliance I guess. Maybe a coffee machine? Tho it seems unlikely. Probably a fridge in a part we don't see. And an electric kettle
"He says this as he walks into the kitchen, and soon, the sound of the electric kettle boiling water can be heard."
So, not much but not bad either. I'd be more worried if he has time to cook much with his maybe expired teabags...
...would he make good lunch? I can buy him something he likes but he makes soup please please
And Jerome's bedroom!
Quite some of his things are with blue, does Jerome like blue for room decoration?
Cute little plant (I think it's alive, not artificial?)
Looks like his air conditioning works, since it's plugged into socket. Sometimes I wonder if he's a little cold
There seems to be a desk near bed? Maybe?
...and his window is facing other building, with concrete underneath. Do they at least have some plants outside?
"The only feasible escape is jumping from the windowsill to the building across, but this method is extremely dangerous."
A cat likes visiting him for a nap and free food, which is why ha has a cat food bag. Does Jerome like animals? Maybe he pets the cat if it allows him to. Anti stress cat
"It must be the neighbor's cat. It often sneaks into my room when I'm out."
"Yes, it's for the cat that often naps here." (Jerome)
And on the suitcase:
"No, I'm just organizing some seasonal clothes. My closet is small, so I can't fit everything. Would you like me to open it for you?" (Jerome)
Okay, I can see why. There's not much room for a closet for sure... What would he wear if he went on vacation??
This is unfortunately all we know about his house. I think he also has free bathroom items from hotels (I think everyone takes them if they don't use it up, no?)
While I'm not a fan of the wiring plus piping on his walls at least it looks safe. But I'd happily visit him anytime anyway, and I'd gladly drink tea with him ^^
This is M (my self insert) she has issues and likes Jerome a lot. He doesn't reciprocate but doesn't mind which is good by her :)
More about them ↓↓
Templates I filled with them :D
About them~
• M ended up in hospital due to something NXX related (this part is mess for now) Jerome offered better care if she goes with him, turns out bc he wanted more test subjects
• M realizes quickly but doesn't mind, not so bad to have an attractive researcher who finds you interesting, and doesn't want to go back to her life.
• She has self worth and attachment issues (+more), would rather have one sided crush but get non romantic attention than do "normal" relationship. Doesn't want it reciprocated, just to continue getting attention and comfort, so she doesn't try any advances or anything
• Jerome mostly sees her as interesting test subject but does somewhat care, not in romantic/sexual way however. Yay
• He thought she wouldn't like learning he's testing on her but M doesn't mind much. Actually asked to stay after solving the NXX problem, not wanting to go back and feel purposeless, offering herself for more testing
• it's really annoying to Jerome when she doesn't care about getting hurt, but it gives her his attention, even if negative
• he's rather controlling in subtle ways? Will make sure she does as he says or leave for some time after giving her drugs and comes back after letting her suffer for a bit
• if Jerome goes to jail in her timeline she'll likely end up dead :)
Sooo uh yeah, that's it ^^ love my messed up dynamics
