SIMBLR GAMEPLAY EVOLUTION TAG

Rules:

Post two photos. One earlier gameplay photo (at the very latest would three months ago but preferably go even way back), and one of your most recent ones (within the past month).

The only restriction is they must be from the same game (so two TS2 photos, two TS3 photos, or two TS4 photos).

HA! Pruett Family Legacy was my first foray into SimLit. I began this story almost immediately after the release of TS4. I had neither written nor read a Sims story before. That’s not true. I read one TS3 story, but that was it. I just played, took pics, and wrote. I didn’t know I needed care about aesthetics lol. Can’t do anything about those walls though LOL

By gen 5 (which was about 2 months later), I learned I should put the walls up lol. I got better at composing shots, but I didn’t mind the plumbob back then. I started new stories in February 2015, and that’s when I began to experiment with editing! I went through many styles until I found “the one.” Here are some examples.

Finally, after lots of experimentation and learning about Photoshop, I created the style I use today the summer of 2016. I inaugurated this style with Keeping Up With the Joneses. I since have experimented with ReShade, began using poses, developed a cc addiction, and have gotten better at composition...and got rid of the plumbob LOL.

I think it’s widely accepted that Juliana would think of Kevin as her rock. But, the real beauty behind me picking this song is that Kevin is coming to realize that Juliana is his. All through their frustrating friendship, and even now, he was happy to be the strong one. He wanted to be that safe place Juliana ran to when she needed comfort. But, he failed to realize his own need for a safe haven. He’s currently learning how strong she can be and getting comfortable with the idea of letting her be strong.

Sweet Beginnings Tag

I was tagged by none other than @maladi777.

Rules: So this tag is all about looking at your past. All you need to do is to find one of the first screenshots you ever took (preferably also published), and post it beside the recent one! And tell everybody when you took that first picture!

SO, the first picture, I’d bet none of you have ever seen it. I started my legacy story right here on Tumblr on September 8, 2014. I wasn’t sure if I would stick with it and didn’t want to go through the trouble creating a Wordpress blog. Anyway, I got about six chapters in, and then trouble happened and I lost all my saves. I had already been bitten by the simlit bug, so when I restarted the story, I moved to WP. I was new to simlit and knew absolutely nothing about taking pictures. I didn’t even know to put the walls up LOL. Forget editing.

The second picture was taken a few days ago on my freshly built PC (applause). It was edited with a set of actions I actually created myself! #soproud I went from barely knowing my way around PS to making actions. Miracles do happen folks!

Jess went into straight hater mode as soon as she walked into the karaoke bar lol. The person was actually quite good!

After she finished her song, @maladi777 decided to brave the stage! Will she meet Jess’ impossible standards? :-D

Whoops. Guess you need more practice lol. Meanwhile, Nicolette is unamused with Tony’s story. He must have been telling her about his favorite book, The Art of Torture or whatever horror he reads lol.

@maladi777 got done with her song and felt pretty awesome even though she knew she didn’t do that well. I think she just imagined she was singing to Tony lol.
