I spoke of house music without explaining who made the genre possible as this is a question few can answer. The discussion on the inventor of the idiom is a tough one, though Jesse Saunders is considered to be one of the originators, which does make sense, whenever one checks on his works. He hasn't really understood what the genre was all about as he was a pioneer – he was basically writing the rules through his trial and error. Nonetheless, I can hear the influence of Yellow Magic Orchestra, if you ask me, since there's something of that group's let's-go-crazy-with-electronic-instruments-let-us-not-be-Kraftwerk with a dash of disco. Yes, this was house at the early point, there was a certain laissez-faire vibe.
