If I'm honest life has been very hard as of recent and if it seems I've been MIA on the internet it's because I just haven't had time to do fun things.
I've been working 2 full time jobs, moving, and just trying to exist recently and it's gotten me down. I'm hopefully able to be back in the swing of stuff around June. I want to/have to finish my Seduce Me fic this year or I'll lose my OWN mind. Not to mention my Criminal Minds one as well. I want to write them and start other projects, this has just been one of the hardest years for me recently.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know IM NOT DEAD, just struggling.
My brainrot is bad y'all... like there's a 27 page doc on my computer right now of just notes of my rewrite of seduce me. Just notes not even like actual writing.
Anyway if you want my brainrot let me know I'll share :)
Sometimes I forget how shows can teach us really valuable lessons.
Below is a personal analysis of amphibias finale and how it resonated with me at 26
Amphibias finale didn’t make me emotional because the show was ending. (I mean yes I’m sad to see it go but I wasn’t super into it like I am the owl house. I’ve been watching it passively and have been really impressed with it)
But the finale hit me because it told the truth that change and goodbyes are inevitable, even with people who we think are our best friends/family.
Right now I’ve been dealing with a friend and how I think our friendship is ending and where to go from there because it feels so abrupt and hurts. A lot. Especially when it’s been a part of the last 5 years of my adult life.
This finale made me cry because it made me realize that no matter how much I want to hold onto to this friendship, people change and move in different directions. And sometimes they come back, sometimes they don’t.
It doesn’t matter how much I love them. I can’t change where they’re going if I’m not invited along.
I can’t change that. I can only give my love and support and hope that they know I love them. With my whole heart.
People move and grow and change and even as adults were constantly moving. It’s easy to think that after 18–20 we’re just who we are and won’t change. But we do. Sometimes the people we love the most go in a different direction.
Amphibia taught me that it never stops. We never stop growing and making mistakes and moving forward. Amphibia taught me that people who love me will come back and the true journey is learning to love and trust myself.
If my friend doesn’t come back it’s okay. They were apart of my journey and I learned so many lessons and laughed and loved and really opened up to who I want to be going forward in my life.
I learned a lot and I’m sad to see the past go, but there’s a whole future to look forward too.
So thank you amphibia for reminding me that people are here to help us learn, grow, and love. And that relationships are complicated.
