Dead by Daylight Killers as Caregivers [HEADCANONS]
Killers included: Huntress, Legion, Ghostface, Oni, Trickster, & Mastermind
I'm bored and cannot sleep. Also currently binge playing DBD for the event! It's fun ^^
Others were not included because:
I had no ideas for them, or
I didn't think they'd fit the CG role
This may change in the future! When that happens, I'll make a post with them in it.
I tried my best to think of ideas for everyone ^^'
I've already made HC's for the Mastermind, but I love writing for him, so here's some extras (❁´◡`❁)
Because there are many characters included, there might not be as many HC's. My apologies! I hope you enjoy regardless. Let me know if you'd like more headcanons of a specific character!
CW: These characters are from a horror game, so there will be horror elements such as gore, blood, death and otherwise. Read with caution. I've kept deaths and mentions of gore vague.

🩸 The Huntress would be a doting and protective caregiver, albeit you would likely die if in a younger headspace. She often forgets that you need food and water.
🩸 She does not like it when you go outside, as she fears enemy soldiers spotting you. You only go out when she's watching.
🩸 You'll likely be alone a lot of the time, as she spends her time hunting.
🩸 Trials are easy when she's around, because she does not go for you. Her humming does make you sleepy, though.
🩸 She doesn't let you go near her hatchets. She understands that they're dangerous.
🩸 She is incredibly tall. Intimidatingly so. Her strength could rival that of a grizzly. Holding you is the easiest thing she's ever done.
🩸 The winters are tough and fatal to the most ignorant fools. You are often kept inside and placed in front of the fireplace as she cuts into game she caught.
🩸 She crafts you a mask, much like her mother did for her in her youth.
🩸 She cannot read books, but will hold you in her lap as you read. You can read for her, if you'd like.
🩸 She acts a lot like an animal more than a human woman. She's possessive and will guard you with her life.
🩸 Her hex perk makes you mess up a lot of the time, and if your teammates get mad at you for it, Huntress will hunt them down and lead you to her hex. She'll pat your head as you cleanse it. <3
🔪 The Legion would understand regression to some extent; Susie would think it was cute, Joey and Julie would think it's cool and support you, and Frank would not care as long as you're happy. He'll treat it like it's normal. [He does question you about it, though.]
Since Julie and Frank are canonically together, they're more like your parents whereas Susie and Joey are your cool aunt and uncle.
🔪 They are fiercely protective of you, Frank especially. He becomes mouthy and will threaten someone if they make you feel unsafe.
🔪 Susie brought many cutesy things to the fog, and she will give them to you. They don't suit her all that well anymore, and she loves to spoil you. She'll also paint your nails if you ask.
🔪 Frank will put you on his lap as he sharpens his knife, and Julie will chastise him about having a weapon so close to you. He'll roll his eyes and say an "okay, mom". He will also let you play with his jackets as you sit on his lap, because the zippers are fun to toy with.
🔪 Frank isn't too affectionate like the others, so a hug is the best you'll get sometimes. Bedtime is usually the time when he's the most gushy. He'll hug you and Julie to him. You are in the middle of them 90% of the time. Julie and Susie tend to be the more affectionate types of the group. Joey's into fist bumps and side hugs.
🔪 They try not to hook you in trials, or hurt you in general, but The Entity can be really bloodthirsty. Julie and Susie will immediately become apologetic after hooking you, whereas Joey and Frank keep that side hidden until afterwards.
🔪 They give you a mask to customize. If you need help, they'd be happy to assist you! Joey and Susie will help you with design ideas, Julie will encourage you and help you with drawing some things, and Frank will supply the customized blood marks. [The blood's fake, though. To Frank's dismay.]
🎭 The Ghostface is definitely a more playful kind of caregiver, but he will defend you with his life and slash anyone who makes you feel unsafe. He's fatal...and a total clown. [Not like Jeffery, though.]
🎭 Danny loves to joke around and make you laugh. He'll eagerly kneel up and down just to make you giggle. Albeit other survivors question what he's doing and will give him weird looks. He'll then sacrifice them all and continued to kneel up and down as he leads you to the hatch.
🎭 You never see him without his mask on. He'll wink at you [you can feel it] and say his identity is a secret. He'll show you his driver's license, though.
🎭 Definitely calls himself "daddy" and will refer to himself with that title, even with other people. In a trial he could be in the middle of using a mori, and after taking his iconic picture, he'll get up and happily exclaim that "daddy is needed elsewhere". "Elsewhere" is with you.
Have you ever been killed by someone who calls themselves "daddy"? It makes the survivors embarrassed. And he finds that hilarious.
🎭 Entity is more lenient with him, seeing as he always delivers. So more often than not, you're untouched in trials with him. Instead, he'll sacrifice everyone first, then have fun with you.
Oftentimes he encourages you to hit him with pallets. He'll exaggerate his sighs and scream "OUCH" after every hit just to make you laugh.
🎭 After every trial he'll sit you on his lap as he lays against a tree, scanning through the pictures on his camera. He'll listen to you as you ramble and occasionally say a "wow, doll" or "that's great, baby" to show that his ears are working. Especially works when you're in a younger headspace and you babble.
🎭 He has many other masks that he wears. He loves to wear the "wassup" one.
🎭 If you're ever wanting a doll or a stuffed animal, he will sneakily rip one off of Huntress' outfit. Don't play with it around her, though...
🎭 He's affectionate in a playful way. His love language includes hugging you off of the ground and letting you play games with him.
👹 The Oni is a gentle giant when not enraged or in a trial. He will happily pick you up and hold you close. As scary as he looks, he can be quite affectionate.
👹 He loves to preen himself, and he will do the same to you. He brushes his hair all the time, and will help you manage yours.
👹 The survivors won't say anything, but they find it somewhat impressive how you made a demon become so...tame?
👹 He tries not to injure you during trials, but sometimes, it becomes inevitable. He does ask that you hide during his rages, though.
👹 He enjoys sharing his culture with you, and does so often when not in trials.
👹 Spirit becomes a sisterly type to you. Oni is her ancestor after all.
👹 He misses his young son, and therefore, finds comfort in caring for you. He's quite doting.
👹 He believes in manners and respect.
👹 His breaths are calming to you, so you often fall asleep when cuddling with him.
👹 He's tall and muscular. He can carry you and pick you up regardless of your weight and height.
🎤 The Trickster is pompous and doting. He believes that you deserve the best and nothing BUT the best. The best food, the best cosmetics...he WILL make sure The Entity gives you what you deserve.
🎤 He loves to show off his knives, but will make sure that you're careful with them. They're sharp and kind of slippery.
🎤 He enjoys telling you about his childhood and how he became enamoured with the idol lifestyle. He will happily show off his dance moves for you!
🎤 In terms of dancing, he'll teach you how to dance and the moves, depending on how little you feel. If you're in an older headspace he'll attempt a more advanced routine, but if you're itty bitty, he'll take your hands and do something simple.
🎤 He loves to sing! And will encourage you to do so, too! He does NOT care if you sound horrible, and if you do, he won't tell you. He finds you precious!
He does, however, force the survivors and other killers to compliment your voice.
🎤 Yun-Jin pities you, as dealing with Ji-Woon is not easy, but he threatens her to stay out of it.
🎤 You question if his eye colour is real, and he'll wink and say it's a secret. [It isn't, they're just contact lenses.]
🎤 He lets you wear his jacket, albeit you don't want to. It's bloody. But for some reason, it has a very faint scent of detergent...it's comforting, if you can ignore the scent of blood.
🎤 Much like Ghostface, the Entity is lenient with him, seeing as Trickster loves what he does, and he always pleases her. Trials against him are easy.
🎤 During trials, he loves to find people in lockers, and you are no exception! But instead of slamming his bat beside you and scaring the hell out of you, he goes "peek-a-boo" and picks you up. He'll let you wriggle off before sacrificing the other survivors.
🎤 He loves kisses. He sometimes wears lipstick when wearing other cosmetics, and he'll leave stains on your face. If Yun-Jin tries to clean your face, he glares at her.
🎤 He loves to wink at you. Obviously!
🕶️ The Mastermind, much like The Trickster, is pompous and believes he is superior. And because you're under his wing, he too believes you deserve the best.
🕶️ He's disgusted with pretty much everybody. Killer, survivor. Whatever. He becomes annoyed if you're in a trial with Chris, Jill or Claire. [Leon, too. Despite never meeting him, he has a feeling that he wouldn't be too fond of Leon, either.]
🕶️ Speaking of Chris and the others, if they heal you during a trial, you can expect Wesker to basically preen you afterwards. Maybe even "bathe" you. He doesn't want you being touched by them. Ugh.
This especially applies to trials with Nemesis. If you come out coated in blue stuff...he'll make a disgusted expression, but clean you up.
🕶️ He always has spare sunglasses in his jacket. You have no idea how much pairs are in there, but he only winks at you. His jacket is...wonderous.
🕶️ Seven minutes is all he can spare to play with you...until he has to go back to killing survivors. Playtime is over. He'll be right back, darling.
🕶️ You get lost VERY easily on the RPD maps, so he has to guide you. He'll plant you in the entryway and demand you stay there. You do...for 5 minutes. The lion statue upstairs was just too pretty to ignore, dammit.
🕶️ He doesn't care for the Entity or anybody else. He will do whatever he pleases. Entity would do something if he just wasn't so good at his job.
🕶️ He would infect you with Ouroboros...if it wouldn't cease to exist after every trial of yours. His eye twitches after every single attempt.
