He wouldn’t care about it at first, probably would ignore it.. Atleast try to. Everytime he sees you, his chest starts to feel tighter and a strange flutter is felt in his chest, at first he thought that maybe it was because he liked your company, which was wierd enough but that wasn’t much of a big deal for him to start questioning it. Though he couldn’t shake off the blissful feeling he had everytime you were sitting beside him during meetings or giving him short talks, he’s not one to talk as much but he loved how comfortable you were to chat him so often.
When he finally realizes the feelings he has for you, he wouldn’t make much of a difference, however there would be subtle signs. Whenever you pass by him, he lets out a short greeting that felt warmer than his cold demeanor. Another meeting? He would start up a small conversation with you first before you could, hell he’ll even allow you to brush his hair at this point, it’s not like he’ll confess that to you though! It’s hard to notice if he starts to like you, you’ll have to squint slightly to notice his loving signs. But when you start to notice it, it would be impossible to shake off the thought.
You scratched yourself? He would have a slight worry in his voice as he tells you to be careful, it might be overshadowed by his powerful and quiet demeanor, but you could hear it even just a bit. He wants to reassure you during something? His large hands would envelope lightly behind your back, soft and gentle to avoid making you uncomfortable nor threatened, the warmth from his hands were comforting for you.
You are his light from the Zenin clan, even if you don’t realize it.
Ranta Zenin ᯓ★
Ranta was always a dedicated member for the Zenin clan, he was always so productive and enthusiastic during training or completing tasks. His golden-retriever yet humble energy took you off gaurd, since his personality is so much more different than the usual demeanors of the Zenin clan members. He would notice right away when he develops feelings for you, he would be confused for awhile but after he figured it out.. He wouldn’t really know what to do. He loved everything about you. The way you talked, your face, your hair, everything about you was so stunning to him. So lovestruck it was overwhelming, he tried to distract himself with training but he could never shake off the feelings he had for you.
He refused to give any obvious signs of his affection for you, yet. He would try to keep his steady and eager act like always. His slight flustered state whenever you smiled at him goes unnoticed, it was pointless to hide it at this point since both of you already knew how shy he was with you compared to his acquaintances. The times that he gazed at you so lovingly when you payed him no mind, his demeanor softening subtly everytime he starts a conversation with you, tucking a strand of your hair whenever it blocked your view, asking how you were whenever a new day starts.
The thought of you being his, is always too much for him to handle. He was always a red mess whenever he thinks of being with you romantically, he would pass out if it happened but at the same time he craved it so bad. One day, he would gather up the courage to confess. But for now he’ll show you the love he can give for the current status you both have.
And he can’t argue on the fact that he’s impatient to hear your answer.

He was always irritating to deal with, his confidence and the lack of fear for judgement made you slightly uneasy. However it was intruiging for you, his personality is unique in a way that gave you endless opportunities for you to think about on how he acts on certain situations, for example, love. It seems like he’s too egotistical and selfish to realize his love for you, at first. He would ignore his feelings too, but unlike Jinichi, he won’t pay any mind on the subject of love.
When the thoughts of you started to bombard his brain without a specific reason, it made him confused. He tried to downplay it by making himself think that he was frustrated at your presence, however it felt wrong, the reason didn’t sit right with him. And yet he refused to call it love. He acknowledged that everytime he talked to you, only harsh and commanding words came out. But why is it that he felt as if he doesn’t mean the cruel words he says to you? You didn’t seem to care as much usually, since he talks like that to everyone. You always rolled your eyes at his comments without much care since what he spits out are rude nonsensical words. Something about you charmed him, it made him undoubtedly curious. And something about the feeling of wanting to pamper you and let you be his made him even more intruiged, to the point that he wanted to play with the feelings a bit.
Playful teasings arrived first. Mocking on how you were still single, taunting that no men would want you, that you wouldn’t be a good wife, etc. You managed to handle his teases, figured it was just him trying to irritate you, and you didn’t bother giving him much of a response. However his harsh remarks slowly transitioning into subtle admiration. Telling you in a passive aggressive manner that you look better in a specific outfit you’re currently wearing than the last outfit you wore, telling you to not get yourself hurt afterwards claiming he said that because it would be annoying to hear you whine about your pain all day, observing you more clear as day but telling that he does that to everyone when it’s clearly a lie. His feelings started to get obvious, and he couldn’t help but feel satisfied that you knew.
His ego is too big for him to confess directly of his feelings, but maybe one day he’s able to set his selfish desires aside for once.
