Jinki had decided to walk to the edge of the village and down the mountain for a while. Take in the scenery and cold weather before his obligations called for him to put a pause on his life, as usual. He wore a long sleeved, navy blue shirt along with some causal dark pants, a thin coat falling from his shoulder, and his black gloves. Before heading out, he decided to buy himself an iced coffee so he entered the nearest coffee shop around. As he left, the sudden voice of captured his attention and he looked up to see a man holding the door open. He gave the man a polite nod before replying, “No need. This weather is rather pleasing for my person.” Taking in the man’s appearance, Jinki offered him a polite smile. “Do you have one?”, he asked as he grasped his coffee in both hands.
The jacket—that layer was something he opted to go without by choice in the morning, fully aware of the weather yet repulsed by what he had forced the jacket to be. It no longer gave warmth and he was far too numb, now, to shiver. Real, concrete cold he could handle, but he didn’t need any more reminders that he was on the verge of breaking every odd moment. He couldn’t even anticipate the spikes anymore. “I don’t mind the cold,” he mused. “Besides—” Holding up his own coffee, still scalding, his eyes crinkled slightly in a smile. Though it fell quickly, at least he had it up at all, gloved fingers wrapping tightly around the cup. Exiting after the man, he bowed very slightly. “Thank you for the consideration. How has your day been?”
