"Hey, why’d you call me out at this time? I’m work— ah, fuck.” He grumbles under his breath, rain hitting him uncomfortably as he sees her in the distance, but she’s only a barely familiar blob and he mentally curses himself out for thinking she’d hear him. Once he catches up to her, he’s already too drenched to drag himself under shelter, so he’s doubled over beside her, heaving in and out as he’s trying to control his breathing. “What was the emergency?” He huffs, but shortly, he hears the girl’s sniffling from his position and he quickly stands upright, taking her by her wrist and leading her under a bus shelter, making sure all his actions are ginger despite his prior aggression. He lightly cups her cheeks, rubbing away the tears even though they merged with the water of her drenched frame before hugging her close, exhaling deeply. “God, I don’t know why you’re crying, but don’t, okay? Who do I have to beat up, huh, princess?”
