Rosewater was an unexpected ship that I just fell head over heels for cause dang these two are so different yet work so well. Also, they’re both giant dorks.

Abner:

1. what would they never do?

He’s a criminal who tortures people for a living but he’d never do any sort of sexual crime. He’s got his lines in the sand.

2. what have they never done that they want to do?

See the ocean.

3. is there anything they absolutely can’t believe people do?

Unfortunately not. He’s seen enough badness to assume pretty much anything is plausible. Which is why he’s doing the best he can now to be a positive influence on the world around him!

4. what is the most embarrassing thing they’ve done?

One time when he was still exclusively Abigail he got absolutely wasted with Big Mama and the crew. He doesn’t remember the night in it’s entirety but he does remember ‘waking up’ the next morning being hung up by his boots over the horse gate. He woke up from a stranger pushing him aside to enter the coral, and had his skirts up around his head. Turns out he had quite an audience of ranch hands who were happy to just let this ‘lady’ hang there. He’s not much for drinking after that.

5. have they done anything they thought they’d never do?

He’s done a lot of things that would fit that bill for different causes during his life. He rode in a gang. His job was extracting info by any means possible. He disguised himself as a preacher and decided he liked it so much he kept it. He tried to leave his gang, the only family he’d known since his youth... he tries not to be surprised when things don’t go according to plan anymore.

Suzanna:

1. what is their most attractive external feature?

She would tell you probably her eyes. “Green as the forest an’ twice as deep”, she’s joke with a wink. But to others? Probably a very fit body from work as a constable.

2. what is the most attractive part of their personality?

Confidence! She’s very comfortable in her skin and what she does, despite the time period looking down heavily on Irishmen she’s always proud of herself and who she is.

She can also be pretty witty when given the chance.

3. what benefits come with being their friend?

Benefits? Other than her shining personality and smile? Probably her protectiveness. As a law person she’s protective of all her ‘wards’ anyway, but she’d be lying if she said those closest to her didn’t get a little preference.

4. what parts of them do they like and dislike?

Suzanna’s confidence isn’t a farce, she’s p much fully happy with herself. Though she does sometimes feel a little self-conscious about her missing nose (puppetverse). Even if she jokes all the time and uses anything she can find to pretend it’s a new nose, it can still be a sore spot for her personally.

5. what parts of others do they envy?

She... doesn’t really envy others. Maybe BB for being with Lavendar.

Liza:

1. what makes them happy?

Watching the stars, a colorful sunset, her animals, watching the townsfolk go about their business. She tries to find happiness in the little things. Basically anything she can enjoy that reminds her of where she almost was and the freedom she has now.

2. who makes them happy?

Lavendar, Rosario, and any number of the town people. Betty when she doesn’t crack down on her being rowdy, but Betty’s a good bean so she’ll forgive her. And depending on when in the timeline you catch her Deputy Tali.

3. are there any songs that bring them joy?

She likes any tunes that play in the saloon since they all seem to be pretty uplifting. Especially if Fidelia is around to sing them. Other than that she does have a collection of records at home that she almost always has playing when working around the house. She wouldn’t say she has any particular favourites but she does love music.

4. are they happy often?

She’s happy as long as she gives herself enough distraction from becoming introspective about how she’ll never be able to see her family again, or go to the city, or travel the world. She keeps her mind busy with work and friends and being the loudest pain-in-the-ass the town has ever known.

5. what brings them the most joy in the world?

One time Tali surprised her by bringing her to the top of a mesa so they could watch the sunset over the dessert, and the stars rise in the sky. That feeling when you realize someone isn’t about to abandon you in the wilds to meet you’re fate for being a right hassle and that they in fact wanted to share something special to them with you?

That and the fact that she lost her jacket and she got to curl up with Tali under the same blanket as they watched the stars. That’s the best feeling.
