Fushiguro’s battle is always exciting for me! So many technical details that go into the thinking. Not much to comment, but this is just more of stuff I’d like to explain more.
To be able to use quite a powerful technique, Reggie is quite amazing. “Esoteric” technique implies exclusivity, uses for small number of people is opposite to “domain” that implies wide area.
I’m glad we have more on the simple domain technique. Because “domain for the weak” is no enough to explain the technicality of “neutralizing” domain expansion.
“Domain amplification” here differ from domain expansion. I think it limit the expansion of domain to the small area around the user. The difference from simple domain is that the small area is still counted as “domain” so the user’s technique still expands to that small area, making them able to neutralize the enemy’s technique.
However, simple domain doesn’t have this. They are basically just a stronger barrier that free the user from the “sure-hit” aspect of domain expansion. Like, if he is in Mahito’s domain, Reggie probably won’t be affected by Idle Transfiguration. But that’s it - he still can’t fight back without stronger technique, or something at the par.
Fortunately, Fushiguro’s domain is still imperfect.
His domain for the time is just an extension of his shadow technique. He doesn’t have that “can’t miss”-ness of a perfect domain. This is a blessing in disguise against a simple domain user. So his attack is not neutralized by the domain because it’s not a “sure hit”. A double negative makes a positive after all.
This. Every hits is his own. Fushiguro doesn’t need that sure-hit from the perfect domain expansion to land blow by blow to Reggie.
Yes. Exactly.
So. How his shadow works seem to involve gravity somehow.
Truly a great chapter encompassing a strategic battle. I love this
During this small panel, does Yuuta increase the curse energy in his sword, or erase it from his sword? Because the next panel Yuuji is stabbed and Rika is dispelled at the same time.
Itadori is still human (well, part of). So if he is to be wounded in his vital organ, let’s say the heart just like Yuuta aims using his sword, it will still hurt him bad. But Yuuji is already part-curse since he becomes Sukuna’s vessel, so if Yuuta to actually kill Yuuji, he has to use curse energy.
However, if Yuuta decreases his curse energy, then he only wants to hit Yuuji in vital organ and makes it looks like Yuuji has died, when in actuality Yuuji may still be alive.
And then Yuuta apologizes to Yuuji.
Which is a bit strange if he actually holds a grudge for hurting Inumaki and want to kill Yuuji for real. But I don’t know whether this is me reading too much into things or if this suspicion is valid.
