first off; jo respects heather. she finds her a worthy competitor. just dislikes her girly short shorts. "my kind of competitor" is jo terms for "totally my type." + we all know jos type is dark hair and cleft chins

SECONDLY jos internalized misogyny and hatred towards girly things. she uses girly as an insult multiple times. and then theres heather, whos super feminine. jo falling in love with everything she hates is sooo!!!!!!!!

also these two would NEVER last. like ever. they reuinite 15 years later after the show and get flashbacks to everything that went on at camp wawanawka and be like "heyyy youu,," then they kiss. duh.

not to mention how much touching goes on ebtween them. when heather pushed jo out of the way and told her to watch it UMMM???? heather come on. admit you like girls. they hate each other but are both totally into each other!!!! you guys. you all need to start shipping joeather asap.

thoughts on jo and heather?? Romantic or platonic

hmm. Honestly i'd need to actually watch All Stars to give a concrete answer to this, but as of now i think their whole rivalry's super interesting! They're both pretty good at playing the game and have overall very negative relationships with their femininity (on one hand there's Heather who's heavily implied to be conforming to the standards that were imposed onto her out of obligation and she hates it while Jo has. You know.) that interfere with the way they'd see eachother, or at least how Jo sees Heather (i mean her confessional saying Heather's "her kind of competitor except for those girly short shorts" is enough evidence imo).

I kinda wish their rivalry was expanded upon in tdas? From what i've heard it's a super minor conflict and that sucks so bad because that's an interesting conflict to put a post-tdwt Heather in. Alas, due to the entire format of the season the Vilains team already had like 937 different sources of conflict while the Heroes only had one and she transfers over to the vilains like 5 episodes in so it doesn't even matter anyway.

Anyways. If their character stays like the same they do in canon the only remotely romantic thing they'd end up doing is probably kissing during or after an argument and then flushing the other down a toilet or something. There's 100% potential to explore here and it would be fun to do so, im just not super invested in the majority of Heather ships (as romantic) or Jo ships that aren't Jomaria, you know? I do think them getting to respect the other eventually is super interesting to explore tho. Let them get over their internalised misogyny together
