i saw how philip and john would say bro and bruh to the reader and that’s funny as hell “dude you lookin’ mighty sexy” “john.... i hope you know that what you said is the least sexiest thing i’ve heard” and reader got annoyed with it at first but now it’s just a pet name for them now the superior “bruh im home!” vs the lamer “honey i’m home!”

How would the hamilsquad and Philip react if reader came home and just hugged them without saying a word?

I’m sorry this took me so long!!

Alex: He’s a little taken off guard when he’s looking over his papers and you just hug him, making him lift his papers out of your way so they’re not in your face. At first he’s worried that he forgot something, like knowing that a certain day was going to be harder for you, but he still accepts the hug and warmly embraces you before asking very gently, “everything okay, Darling?” When you explain, relieving his worry that it was his fault he relaxes and 100% turns into affection mode. Rubbing your back with his hand and letting you cuddle closer to him in the hug as he sets his papers on the closest object.

Herc: You come home, find him sewing and carefully press against his back and wrap your arms around him. You lay your head against his shoulder and watch his hands work on a beautiful piece. He responds with a “hey baby girl, you okay?” immediately wanting you to know that he cares, he just needs to finish his work and he’ll be all ready to listen. When you don’t answer Herc keeps talking, telling you about his day or the toughness of the work, of course with the occasional “of course, you’re making it better.” 

John: He greets you at the door when you get home, so when you keep your head down and reach out your arms around his frame, John’s prepared for the hug and responds with “well, what did I do to deserve this, Angel?” He can feel you nuzzle your face against his chest and lets your swaying back and forth a bit playfully. John always tries to lighten your mood and so he tells you how much he missed you and how happy he is that you’re back. He also gives a “c’mon lemme see that smile, it’s so gorgeous, just one, a flash, c’mon,” all while rubbing your sides. When you look up and smile John gives an “atta girl, beautiful,” and a kiss to your forehead.

Laf: When you come up to Laf you hug him from behind, but Laf quickly takes notice and turns around in your arms and wraps you up tightly in response, saying, “Aww, Sweetheart,” before pressing his forehead down against yours for a while, slightly rocking you in his arms. He holds you warmly until you feel like talking or just saying a simple “thank you,” to which he says “always,” with a reassuring smile that makes you feel like he has all the confidence in you and love for you.

Philip:

He’s probably mid-sentence to welcoming you home and you have to lift his arms, place them on top of your shoulders until he gets the message, meanwhile you just sigh against his chest with your head turned to the side. He’s super sweet and just embraces you for a good while, understanding sometimes quiet is needed. He’ll whisper in your ear a bunch of heartwarming sweet things and how happy he is to be able to hold you.
