I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned this on tumblr, but I bought a Polnareff figure once and turns out it was a bootleg so it was crappy quality, like:

The left leg joint is really loose to when I tilt the figure back and forth, the leg swings.

The right arm doesn’t seem like it has a base coat of paint on it? So it’s literally a really pale peach with muscles painted in darker paint.

The faces/heads aren’t very detailed or painted well.

His visible pecs look more like pieced of toasted bread he shoved into his shirt.

And I was so sad and disappointed when I took it out of the box. I didn’t want to look at it for so long, but eventually I accepted it and said “He’s different, but he’s unique (probably.)” 

So now I call him John Peter and I like to think he’s not as expressive as Pol, is more rough and hairy, has a bad hip/leg and has to use a cane, and has vitiligo mainly in his one arm.
