Guess what I made an adorable skirt

Last night i did a messy mock-up of an Otome no Sewing skirt pattern and it not only fit well - it also had enough room for the Big Petticoat. The mook's facing pieces didn't quite fit so I'll make my own before cutting fashion fabric. But that's really all that needs to be changed! Feelin pretty good :)

My tragedy is that I don't have dress form able to show off the pieces I've made but they turned out well whether the photos are nice or not dammit! (Would love it if plus size mannequins were 1. actually plus sized and 2. reasonably priced 😡😡😡)

This is the bottom layer of a Critical Role Jester cosplay set for a friend that I drafted from scratch. My goal was to make a dress that she could wear casually outside of the cosplay so the sleeves are detachable. Jacket and overskirt are forthcoming.

Most concept art includes some skirt elements/style lines that don't translate well into Real Life so... those can just be on a separate piece lol

Another wrinkly dress that needs to be washed and pressed, but again... I'd never get around to posting about it if I waited to do all that.

I made this for a lolita inspired cosplay of Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle, made to be something I could coordinate outside of costuming. It was alsothe first garment I ever drafted from scratch. A lot of learning went into this piece. 😤

What to do if you made an ugly waist band? Hide it with a belt.

The skirt is the only thing me-made, and I wore her out for the first time at ECCC. I didn't take any pictures before I wore it, and if I waited to wash and iron it before posting then I probably wouldn't do it for months lol.
