In the Eixample, Barcelona's most central district, Rardo Architects have renovated this 1950s flat. The idea behind this refurbishment was to maximise natural light. The open space includes a STUA Malena armchair upholstered in blue.

From this apartment in Madrid, today we bring you Malena, our low profile wooden armchair, with slatted back and front wheels.A new classic, created by Jon Gasca twenty years ago."Calling this armchair Malena is very special to me. My mother's name is Marina and my sister's name is Elena. Hence, Malena.
The Costura chaiselongue has been designed for individual comfort, with curved shapes that follow the body.Today we present them upholstered in the Giulia 102 textile, an update of the plaid fabric, which we bring from one of the best looms in Europe, near Lake Como. This fabric, thanks to its light white lines and without losing the elegance of the black color, draws nicely the volumes of these designs.A minimalist and contemporary Jon Gasca design.
