I like to imagine Drumbot Brian as a multitool. Tim forgets his amp? Oh, just plug into brian. Ivy's food got cold while she was reading? Brian, the microwave's all the way over there---could you hold this for a minute? Nastya's making parts for the aurora? Brian's got impeccable spacial reasoning bc ai brain; that's why he's pilot. Brian, could you be my ruler for a sec? Jonny ate my other one. Heck, even drumming is just artful metronoming.
On the one hand, he gets to be helpful to all his friends! In a body where his very morality is often out of his control, he is able to provide stability to his family in the form of convenience. He is nothing but heart, and isn't it great that his body lets him show love like that?
On the other hand, he's a tool. In a body where his choices are invariably externally influenced, he has so many add-ons designed to serve. His crew treats his preferences like an inconvenience and his body like a tool.
