How am I gonna be an optimist about this
Outside, campers were laughing, playing. Birds were chirping, pegasi were whinnying in the distance. To Louis, it could might as well have been a completely different world. One he didn’t belong to. The empty hospital wing was like a bunker, set into another dimension. He might as well be lying on the dirty hard ground he’d been lying on about 60-something hours prior. None of the softness of the mattress, blankets or pillows were getting through to him. His mind was locked in a strange setting of denial, rage and sadness. He didn’t seem able to pick a feature, didn’t know whether he wanted to cry or punch something. It was a very strange experience, because he wasn’t used to having these feelings on the regular. That realization didn’t help him any either, and made him feel even more depressed.
It was incredibly surreal and weird. His brain told him that his leg was still there. He could feel it. It hurt. But one glance, one pat, told him that is wasn’t. He tried not to think about that, preferred the idea that if it hurt, it was really still there and this was really all just a horrible nightmare that he’d wake up from any minute now. Any minute now.
Louis turned on his side. Maybe the aching would stop if he did. Undergoing the absence of leg weight was strange. He was facing his nightstand now, looking away from the door. A large bouquet of flowers perched on it. Thyme had brought them for him, having gotten to camp as soon as she could with the portal watch she had. She’d gone back some time ago to go inform his mother about his accident. It was something Louis both dreaded and looked forward to. His mom would be so saddened, but at the same time he longed for the comfort of her presence. Amongst the flowers were other things: muffins, cookies, a book, his mythomagic card set that Juli had brought in. Nothing about that seemed appealing right now, or possessed the ability to put him in a good mood.
Louis turned away from the items and ended up on his back again. He stared up at the ceiling, eyes non-seeing.
Today I saw a couple that had the perfect jorouis height difference and it was the funniest shit because at first, when I was working on checking their stuff and I'd only seen her out of the corner of my eyes, I thought she was his daughter. She looked so tiny compared to him. If the happened to jordan, she'd be stunned at first. Then she'd be like "but I'm older than him >8c"

I was thinking about Jorouis and, maaybe figured out when/how their relationship changes to the point where they can have a child.
Remember how we had that one headcanon where Jordan loses an arm via Laestryngonian giant? Maybe it happens after that. I know she’d need a long time to recover, both physically and mentally. She’ll stop working at the gym and just stay home instead, recovering, for at least a few weeks. She’d have a lot of nightmares because of the incident, and her sleeping schedule might become more in tune with Louis’s, since she can’t really follow her routine during this time. What at other times was complete independence from each other and just sharing a house becomes more of a relationship during this time, I think.
Btw, she probably chops off her hair at this time because she gets frustrated that she can no longer put it in a ponytail - she needs two hands for that.
Powers for jordan: Super strength Ability to go berserk, with literal fire in her eyes, which demolishes her self control but strength and speed skyrocket. Usually can calm down after enemy is defeated but not always. Fatal flaw is impulsiveness, aggressiveness, lack of control, ties in with berserk. Scenario where she fails to cool down after finishing off monster, louis doesnt notice and reaches out to pat her back or hold her shoulder. She grabs and throws him against a wall and punches a hole through it, half collapsing it, before she realizes what's going on.

who wears the ugly christmas sweatersLouis. He gets them from his mom and of course his mom gets one for Jordan too, so they both have ugly sweaters.
who picks out the holiday movies and who makes the hot cocoaJordan, because Louis simply forgets to watch movies or drink cocoa. Or he needs to be asked, then he’ll do it.
who starts the snowball fightJordan. FIGHTS RRRAAAHH. Probably did that a lot when they were younger too, going Helga Pataki on his Arnold.
who drags the other under the mistletoeJordan to Louis, while she’s being the biggest tsundere.
who decorates the houseThey both do. Jordan needs to get rid of the hazardous decorations that Louis made himself.

who cooks christmas dinnerLouis’ mom B’D Honestly, I don’t see amazing chefs in any of them? I imagine they both know how to make basic stuff, or Louis invents something that can make dinner.
