It’s Snowing - pt. 2
After dinner, our family went to bed, leaving Joe and I snuggled up on the blowup mattress in the living room. “I didn’t want to do it with them around. At least not yet.” I say to Joe as I hand him his present. “It’s cliche I know -“ I cut myself off as Joe nervously opens the present.
Now’s the time to say that Joe and I have started getting physical and one one particular drunken night, we may have forgotten something important especially since, due to Migraines, I can’t be on the Pill.
Joe finally unwraps the frame. “Is this? If this is a gag I swear to God.” Joe says.
“It’s not a gag.” I reply. “I know it’s too soo in our relationship. But - “
“If you’re suggesting abortion, no. No way. I love you too much to let you, and now this baby boy or girl, go.”
That’s when my heart melts. This right here is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with.
*****
The following morning, I wake to the smell of tea and the leftover roast from last night. I peel my eyes open to see Joe, shirtless, heating up breakfast and tea. “Morning.” I croak out, due to me waking up. I walk over to him groggily, almost hitting my hip on the both the fooßball table and the island bench on my way over.
“Morning, here’s some decaf tea.” Joe says handing me the tea.
“I need the caffeine Joe.” I groan.
“May I remind you that you’re carrying a baby, out baby, and caffeine is bad for it.” Joe says. “There’s other things that’ll wake you up.” That’s when I see his laptop, opened up on multiple pregnancy tabs. He’s researching?! To think I couldn’t possibly fall in love with him even more!
“Well, that means your swearing stop entirely.” Joe groans in disgust but nods his head in agreement, knowing full well that it’ll be bad if our child starts picking up his swearing habits.
Joe’s grandparents are the next up and he quickly closes his laptop and shoves it into the space where the ironing board sits.
He looks like he’s a deer caught in headlights. But his grandparents don’t notice. Joe quickly hands them a cup of tea and a plate of leftovers with out even asking if they wanted anything just yet. It’s almost like he’s paralysed with fear and covering it up by acting like a robot. “You alright Joseph?” His grandmother asks.
“Yeah, Yeah.” Joe replies.
“You look like you’ve seen a ghost.” She retorts.
“No, I’m fine.” Joe confirms and clears his throat.
“Can I borrow you computer, Joe? I want to look something up.” Tracy asks.
“It’s dead, Y/N can lend you her’s.” Joe says.
“Yeah, mine’s fully charged.” I reply and log into my computer for her and sure enough, my recent tab still open ... I quickly close the tab and hand Joe’s mum the laptop.
So, just like Joe, I did some research and accidentally left the tab open. But mind you, I didn’t know that anyone would need it.
*****
I look out onto the terrace and sure enough there’s a good 3 inches of snow and more’s still falling. “There’s a lot of ice on the roads Joe, we may just need to stay here for a bit.” My mum says looking up from her phone.
“That’s okay.” Joe says.
“Joe?” The booming voice of Byron echoes into the silent room.
“Hey bro!” Joe exclaims. “How did you get back?”
“Walked.” Byron replies and slumps down beside me, on the sofa, putting his get up on the coffee table. “Oh sorry! Hi everyone.” He turns to my parents, “hi. I’m Byron, Joe’s South African roommate.”
“He looks more like a South African than Caspar and Josh.” Mum says, yes, she’s met Caspar and Josh since I’ve had them both round as they wanted to do a collab with me.
“Oh Joe, what was the present that Y/N was going to give you later?” Dad asks, everyone nods in agreement, clearly wanting to know. Joe gulps and looks at me, I shake my head, Joe nods. “Well?”
“Inside joke.” Joe responds simply. I look back at my work and chuckle quietly to myself, not wanting to draw attention.
*****
It’s just Joe and I up still, everyone wanted to have an early night and Byron wanted to enjoy the cool weather by sleeping in the tent from last year’s vlogmas.
I feel Joe move beside me and wrap his arm protectively around my stomach. Even though there’s no bump, considering I’m a little over a month, it’s his instinct. He lays his head on my chest and I instinctively stroke his hair. It’s soft, not rough and coarse like it is with his hair product. He turns his head, looking directly up at me.
It’s moments like these that I love with him. Laying in bed, whether it be a lazy day, rainy day or at night, not speaking to each other but just enjoying each other’s each other’s company.
I smile down at him and continue stroking his hair. “You know, I should be doing that to you.” Joe says quietly.
“Doing what? Stroking my hair.” I ask.
“Yeah but I’m too comfortable.” I laugh and continue to stroke his hair.
As my body starts to tire, my let my arms fall onto his bicep and his side. I feel his muscles tense then relax as I nod off to sleep.

UNFILTERED // JOE SUGG IMAGINE
I am finally back, my loves! I am so happy to post again on my favorite place on earth and thank you for all the followers I’m gaining everyday! It seems unreal! I love you all and more things are coming so be ready xx
Joe sat next to his lover on their shared bed, once she had settled the camera facing them. Joe clapped his hands together, “Come on, let's do this quick and easy.” He exclaimed in one of his weird voice and she contained a laugh as she frowned at him.
“Don't you dare tell me what to do.” She replied, acting all serious but she couldn't help but smile. There was this crazy mood surrounding them that day. “I don't want to film this. It's gonna be so awkward.” Joe admitted, rolling his eyes to the ceiling. “It won't, it's a cute idea. Just let me do my intro.” Y/N ordered, slapping his cheek gently. He groaned but got into position.
“Hello, people!” Y/N said, zooming really close to her face. Joe tried to hide his growing smile but it was hard. This was how he had met her, after seeing her weird face on the internet. He hadn't been able to erase her from his mind ever since. “Today, I am joined by the man of many talents, mister ThatcherJoe!” She introduced him to the camera, holding her hands up in front of him. “And also your part time boyfriend.” Joe replied, noding to the camera.
“Why part time?” She asked, confusion across her face. “I don't know, you annoy me sometimes.” He said, looking at her with a smile. Y/N sent an offensed look directed to her viewers, imagining the zoom she would do during the edit of this video.
“So I've had this idea of doing a video of us reacting to fan edits of our best moments together, which I think is very cute but this one doesn't agree.” Y/N said, locking eyes with her lover. “It's literally the worst idea ever.” Joe replied but she ignored his comment and finally started the video.
“Oh my god, this makes us look like we're dead people.” Y/N affirmed as the couple watched a compilation of their cuttest moments together which had sad music playing in the background. “Holy cow, that's depressing.” Joe added, frowning at the edit.
As the video went on,the two got closer and there was hardly any space between them. Joe had his hand behind her on the bed as she had her arm pressured on his shoulder.
“Aw, look at this one.” Joe surprisingly said, pointing to the screen of the computer sitting on his lap. The clip that was playing was one of the first time they had ever interacted together. Y/N was surprised by his growing interest in the video and she couldn't take her eyes off him.
She snapped out of her stare at the sound of his laugh. He paused the video and leaned back on the bed, laughing at a clip she hadn't payed attention to. He lifted himself up, “Do you remember that?” He questioned, replaying the clip. Y/N instanly recognised the moment captured on camera and their mixed laughter echoed in their shared appartment.
It took them a moment to catch their breath and stop their laughing crisis but once they had calmed down, they explained what was so funny about this specific moment but deep down, they knew the viewers wouldn't get it, it was a joke that belonged to them.
“That was the day we kissed for the first time.” Joe stated as another clip played on the screen and Y/N frowned. “How do you know?” She wondered, hardly being able to remember it. “You wore that awful purple dress that I hate.” He said and her eyes went wide instantly. “Hey! That's how you remember our first kiss?” She exclaimed, sendind him an offended glare. Joe let out a laugh and shook his head, his eyes still locked on the screen.
“Actually, I remember because you had no makeup on that day.” He admitted, pressing play on the video again, not realizing the impact of the words he had just pronounced. Y/N contained herself to not melt on the floor as she was mesmerized by what he had just told her. And he was so unaware of it.
Joe wasn't so bitter about that video idea anymore and Y/N wished it could have lasted forever because she had discovered a new side of her boyfriend that she never thought existed.
02. all you had to do was stay
This is 1989 series imagine
It was like a movie scene fading in. First, all black, then, the sound kicks in and there is a heated discussion, and finally, me and Joe in a car, going down a narrow road.
“Oh no, love, you didn’t just say that.” We both forgot how the arguing started; however, we wouldn't take back what we screamed.
“What? What is wrong with my sentence?” Joe snapped back. “Are you bothered with the truth? I can’t change the facts, Y/N!”
I was in his passenger seat, didn’t even know where we were going, but the drive was too dark to be interested in finding out. The car threw a yellow light on the pavement and I could see the wood that surrounded us, no car by our side or coming in the other way.
“You call this bullshit the truth?”
This made Joe angrier and he started speeding up the car, we weren’t fast enough to the adrenaline in our veins. I could even feel my cheeks getting red because of our rage.
“It is the truth, Y/N.”
“For fuck’s sake, stop calling me Y/N! You never call me Y/N! And, yes, Joseph, this is bullshit! You are just saying this because, in your crazy, stupid mind it is payback time!”
“What?” He looked at me surprised for a moment and put his eyes again on the road “Payback? What do you even talking about?”
“Payback for what I said to your sister sooner!”
“Of course it isn’t payback, Y/N. You know that I am not you and I don’t play your little mind games. I was thinking about getting angry with you for what you said to Zoe later tonight, but good that you remind me that now.”
“Mind games? I play mind games? Are you insane? Did you lose your mind? Maybe you forgot your brain in your apartment when you left there this morning! This would explain a lot.”
“Here you come with your sassy words. You think you are so fucking smart when you say this kind of thing, don’t you?” Joe looked at me again “What about you use all this energy you have to think that to actually do something useful instead?” He asked, “What about you-“
Another bright light washed the driveway and my first instinct was to see what it was. I screamed “Joe!”, interrupting my boyfriend, as my heart raced, nevertheless it was too late, the other car was heading straight to us.
Joe tried to avoid the crash and threw the car out the road. The time slowed down and I heard the wheels making its loud shrill noise, felt my body getting flung against Joe.
We were getting upside down and I understood the car was flipping around. The side airbags explode, silly and useless; the safety belt pressed my lungs and one of my ribs cracked inside me. Something told me that it wasn’t the worst part of my future state.
I couldn’t scream, I couldn’t take Joe’s hand, it was crazy slow and crazy fast at the same. The broken glass surrounded me when we all hit the floor. We didn’t stop flipping and the car turned around again. And again.
That is when I open my eyes and my white ceiling starts to focus.
I am sweating as I never did, out of breath on my bed. I stare at the whiteness, terrified with my nightmare and waiting for myself to calm down. The dream didn’t make sense, still, the feeling of getting shot against death is scary enough for me.
I take my phone to check the clock and the alarm starts to ring just as my hand touches the device. Time to get going. I get up, my feet touch the floor that got cold throughout the night and go to my bathroom.
I need to work today, however, it’s Friday so it’s better than Monday. I shower, forgetting to put some music to play, my mind is fixed on that crazy nightmare.
The worst part is not the nightmare itself; it is the fact that, when I woke up, I didn’t have Joe by my side to say it was all good. And I am not 100% sure that this is a bad thing, because he was the one who trusted and broke all we had for some mysterious reason that I want to say that is the fact he isn’t ready for a real relationship, for putting himself out in the world, for me. I need to make me believe in that so I can put myself together.
Part of my recovering is giving all of me to the company I work in, so I get none left when I come home at the end of the day and I can sleep my troubles away. Obviously I am going to find out another solution as my day passes by since my dreams are turning into nightmares, but for now, I get ready to work.
The metro is busy as always is, you can’t ask anything different from London by morning, and I live here time enough to know that I need to be ready for this little everyday issue. I get to my office building just when I planned to.
I say hi to all my colleagues from work and wish all the staff a good morning, none of them believing my wishes since I have a face that I passed a tough night. One of my friends from here works on the desk by my side and she even gets a “How you doing?” when I go to my place.
And casually resting on my desk there is a huge flower arrangement. My eyes wide and it melts my heart for just one single second, just one because I know who sent the gorgeous flowers.
I take the golden little card that came with my beautiful arrange, I read it and let the card fall on my desk. It says “downstairs”.
I watch the elevator metal doors opening and ignore my racing heart. It is the second time today it races like that and it isn’t even half of the day. I instantly see an anxious Joe waiting for me.
My ex spots me and starts walking towards my direction.
“What do you want?” I ask him before he can open his mouth.
He looks at me and I know what he is thinking What do you think I want sending flowers and showing up, love?, this is what he would say if we were still dating.
“Y/N, please, let me just talk to you.” He begs.
My nightmare wasn’t a big surprise for me, actually. I’ve been ignoring Joe’s calls for the past week. I don’t know what he wants me to say, considering he dumped me like I was no one special, cutting me out of his life in the blink of an eye and it was hard enough for me stitching myself without him calling me all the time.
“I don’t want to hear you, Joe.” I shrug. “Most of all, you don’t want to hear what I got to say to you.”
“Look, Y/N/N, I know I messed up, okay?” He passes his hands through his hair “But I am suffering the whole Hell since we broke up and I am not a guy who gets back with someone but right here, right now, I am telling you that I changed my mind, I was stupid and please…”
“Joe, stop,” I tell.
“No, you do not understand…”
“No, Joe, you are the one who isn’t…”
“Y/N, please…” Joe gets closer and my air vanishes, I forgot how blue his eyes were those months we were apart.
“Joe…” I am the one who is begging now, his left hand holds my arm.
“I just want to say that I love you, okay?”
He says he loves me looking in my eyes, making my whole body shakes and he thinks I will let him make this moment longer, however, a sudden rage burst insides me and my cheeks turn red just as they did in my dream.
I push him “Let me remind you: this was what you wanted.” Just as he did with me, I stare his amazing eyes, steady, I am not bonding here. “You ended it.” And now, to my humiliation, I feel the tears bursting as my rage did. “You were all I wanted…” I tell him “But not like this…” I admit, my shoulders fall and I face the ground. It isn’t fair to me. “Not like this…” I wanted him back for so long and I wanted him to say those words even longer. He never told me that loved me when we dated, how can he just shot at me those three words like that? In the middle of this situation? “Not like this.” I feel Joe’s arms around me and I let him do that, all that is left of my voice is a whisper and this is how loud I finally say the words I need to: “All you had to was stay.”
Joe only understands only now what I’ve been trying to communicate. I am hurt, I am in pain, I love him so much, since the first time I met him. I also love myself and this is why I can’t ignore what he did.
“If you need me to stay, this is what I will do.” He promises, then he kisses my forehead “I’m sorry.” And walks away, giving me space to heal.
I go back to the office with a ruined mascara and a running nose. I walk to my desk, the co-workers that actually notice me, leave me alone, the others keep their lives happening as any other day. The only one who speaks to me is my friend from the desk by my side.
“What happened?” She asks.
I face my flowers and they make me smile a little.
“Nothing” I respond and I turn around to go to the bathroom fix my makeup, I have a long day ahead.
Blind Pt. 3 -Imagine #6
I’m so so so so sorry that it took so long! But I’m back. And I finally finished my sixth imagine. I hope you enjoy the last part. Love, Kat. XX ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “They will be here any minute!” Britt shouted through the bathroom door where Y/N was fixing her hair. “Alright, I’m ready.” She yelled back and opened the door, to find Britt still standing in front of it. “Wow, you look fantastic, Y/N.” “You look stunning yourself, love.” They complimented each other. The boys as in Joe, Jack, Conor, Caspar and Josh were coming over for pre-drinks. Joe and Y/N figured it would be the best plan for the first night since they all were attending the influencers afterparty. She was nervous, her heart racing in her chest and her fingers fidgeting with everything they could grab. Britt sensed that. She could always tell when Y/N wasn’t her usual relaxed self. “It’ll be fine, Y/N.” She comforted her. “You already saw him and it wasn’t awkward, was it?” Y/N shook her head. “No, but…” She sighed. It was like stepping in a time machine and turning the time back to when Joe and her were still roommates in London. “I’m really scared.” She whispered suddenly feeling the urge to cry. Why was she like that? Couldn’t she for once be the best friend Joe deserved and not a best friend who were in love with him and fleeing on the other side of the world to forget that and then letting the feelings for him come back in just a blink of an eye? She was shit at being friends. “Hey, hey… don’t cry, calm down, love! Everything’s gonna be alright. I’ll promise you that.” Y/N just shrugged, unsure of what to say. “Just think of the date you’re gonna have tomorrow after VidCon. Think of him, okay? The things you’re feeling for Joe right now are just the echoes of your feelings you felt before. Right?” “Okay. Yeah. That seems legit.” “It’s gonna be fun.” Y/N really felt better. She even managed a half smile, although her heart still fluttered nervously in her chest. That was when the doorbell rang, announcing that the boys arrived at their flat. “I’m gonna answer the door and you’re making us a drink, alright?” It wasn’t a question as she already rushed to the front door. Y/N made her and Britt some pretty strong drinks, to calm her stupid heart and to get Britt in dancing mood. Not that she needed to get drunk for that. But Y/N wasn’t the only one drinking heavily that night. As the boys entered the apartment it became loud instantly. Y/N forgot how loud they were, when they were tipsy. “Well hello there, my lady.” Josh was the first who saw Y/N. “You look wonderful as always.” They hugged quickly. “Thank you, you don’t look too bad yourself, Joshy.” He hated to be called Joshy but when he drank he actually quite enjoyed it. He smiled widely at Y/N. “Ugh, I missed you. Joe’s apartment is so freaking empty without you.” “What did you just say about my apartment?” There he was. Joe looked really really good in his ripped jeans and a bomber jacket. Y/N was almost star struck and suddenly she wasn’t so sure about the date tomorrow. Yes, he was very handsome and the both of them were getting along really well, but he never made her feel such things just from looking at him. For a few seconds Joe and Y/N were just looking at each other as if they both met for the first time. Something was different between them and they both felt that. “Well Suggy won’t you greet your beautiful best friend?” Jack laughed as he came in after Joe. “No, eh, yes. Yeah. Y/N, hey, you’re looking…” He trailed off still staring at her. “Stunning, wonderful, beautiful, really fucking pretty?” Offered Jack and hugged Y/N. That loosened the tension and Y/N hugged back tightly. “Thank you, Jack. Have a beer, have a drink, make yourself at home.” Y/N smiled thankful to be focusing on something that wasn’t Joe and his eyes. She herself grabbed her drink and drank quite a lot of it at once. Britt came in Caspar and Conor on each of her side. “Let’s get the party started!” She chanted as she grabbed her drink Y/N prepared for her and Conor and Caspar both hugged Y/N hello. Joe still hadn’t moved an inch. Y/N took another gulp from her drink and finally made her way to him. “Are you alright? You haven’t moved in about ten minutes.” Y/N opened the conversation. “No, yeah, everything’s alright… it’s just…” Joe trailed off, thinking about how beautiful Y/N was and how he never looked at her the way he looked at her tonight. “It’s just?” Y/N asked, looking at him curiously. “It’s just nothing. Where can I get a beer?” And if for a moment he could see disappointment in Y/N’s eyes it was surely just an illusion. “In the fridge.” She answered looking down at the cup in her hand. The pre-party was getting messy as the night went on. Everyone was getting really drunk they were spilling drinks everywhere, singing really loud and really bad to the music and dancing like there was no tomorrow. Everyone seemed to have forgotten about the afterparty of VidCon. Y/N was tipsy and things were getting out of hands. She was staring at Joe dancing with Jack and Conor and all she wanted to do was telling him that she was still and probably ever will be in love with him. “Hey. You alright? You’re looking like you gonna throw up at any second now.” Y/N shook her head. “No, I’m fine. Everything’s fine. Why wouldn’t it?” And as she tried to smile up at Josh who was asking her she felt a tear rolling down her cheek. “Oh shit, don’t cry. Please don’t cry.” He hugged her but that made it even worse. She held back a sob and pulled back from him. “It’s not your fault. It’s mine. I’m- just stupid. Sorry. I need a moment.” And with that she took a deep breath and yelled “Hey, who’s ready for that afterparty?” She was trying to get as many people as possible between Joe and her. But unfortunately the others weren’t on her side. Everyone was booing at her suggestion. “No, not yet.” “Nooo boriiing.” “I wanna dance to my music!” So no chance of getting away from Joe and the magnet that’s been pulling her towards him since they met again. “Can I talk to you for a second?” Joe startled her, ripping her away from the thoughts about him. She nodded. “Sure.” So she followed him out on the balcony. To her surprise Joe wasn’t nearly as drunk as she assumed from watching him dance. “Everything’s alright between us, isn’t it?” Y/N nodded unsure. “I thought so but now you’re worrying me.” Joe smiled down at her letting the moonlight sparkle in his eyes. Ugh, she was so whipped. And so screwed. “Yeah, no. I just thought I asked again, because you’ve been avoiding me this whole evening.” She sighed. “No, it’s nothing… it’s just… me trying to be your best friend.” “But you don’t have to try, Y/N. You’ll always be my best friend. Even if we’re thousands of miles apart.” “It’s not that.” At this point she didn’t even care. He had to know, that this friendship would always be ruined by her stupid heart. “It’s just not the same between us.” She prepared herself for her confession. “No, I know, Y/N. And that’s my fault. My fault for not realizing that all I ever wanted in a girlfriend was living with me the whole time. My fault for confusing love with friendship and my fault for letting you go. It’s my fucking fault, okay. And I know I had my chance and I didn’t use it and now you’re dating some other guy who’s bloody awesome, I just know he is. And you deserve that. You deserve to be happy. And in love. And …” “Joe. Shut up.” “No, it’s..” “Shut. UP. You’re rambling.” “I know. I’m.. an idiot.” Y/N smiled. She was all he ever wanted in a girlfriend? “Did you just… tell me you love me?” Joe’s eyes were brimmed with tears of frustration as she looked up to him. “I-… yes, I… I think so.” “You think so?” “Yeah.” “Alright, well, at least it wasn’t in a letter left on the kitchen counter while you’re already on the way removing yourself from my life. I have to give you that.” He grinned at that and she smiled back. “You’re beautiful, Y/N and it’s so cliché that I fell in love with my best friend and I was too blind to see that and it’s too late, but…” “Who said it is too late, Joe?” His jaw dropped. “I-I mean… it is too late, isn’t it?” She just shook her head and with another one of his pretty smiles he leaned in for their first kiss. And if they both saw fireworks in that moment, well… it made the cliché perfect.
Scavenger Hunt
Request: Joe creates a scavenger hunt for Y/N for him to purpose.
You felt your peaceful dream slip away from you as the sound of muffled laughter slowly brought you back to reality. You closed your eyes tighter as you moved your foot back to nudge Joe who you had assumed was the one who was laughing, but when your foot hit nothing but the empty space beside you, you slowly blinked yourself awake.
“Bloody hell boys!” You said noticing Oli and Byron standing over you as you slept, a smile plastered on both of their faces.
“Sorry Y/N.” Byron said as his smile grew.
“Did you know that you smile in your sleep?” Oli asked as he pointed his vlog camera back towards you as you pulled the duvet up to your chin.
“I was having a good dream which you two ruined….why are you in here anyway? Where’s Joe?” You asked.
“You’ll have to find him.” Byron said handing you a pastel colored envelope with your name on it written in Joe’s hand writing.
“What is this?” You asked, sitting up and taking the envelope, looking questionably at the boys who exchanged smiles to each other, “It’s too early for these games Sugg.” You said out loud as you ripped open the seam.
“He’s not here Y/N” Oli laughed.
“And where is he?” You asked rhetorically as you continued to unwrap the contents of the envelope.
“Read it out loud so the people at home know what it says!” Oli said as you unfolded the piece of paper that was tucked inside.
