It was a bittersweet time for Josh. He wasn’t able to come home for the holidays because of his tight schedule, but his team’s season finished a little earlier than anticipated (and it may or may not have been because he got into a brawl on the ice that led to a disqualification — but thankfully the guy didn’t press charges because Josh sure messed him up). Of course he still wanted to be playing, but it was nice to be back in his hometown. And it was even nice to relax.
Micah had been a familiar face around the house for a few years at that point, so he didn’t think much when he heard the other was staying over (well, maybe he did, but he did his best not to let on as such). He spent the day catching up with some old friends of his, and didn’t get back until late, when everyone was already sleeping. Or so he thought. He snuck into the house and up to his old bedroom, doing his best not to disturb anyone else in the house. Then he stripped down to his boxers and turnt the TV on to look for something to watch.
It was only once he was settled on the bed that it hit him dry his mouth was. With a quiet groan, he once again got up from the bed and retraced his steps out of the bedroom. However, he was more than a bit startled when he reached the hallway and bumped into the shorter. “Jesus.” He was still aware of where he was (and more importantly, what time it was) so he made sure to keep his voice to a low volume. Upon realizing it was just Micah he bumped into, his startled expression turned into a more casual expression —- a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.
“Oh, hey.” He greeted, eyes trailing up and down the other’s body as he did so. “Hope I didn’t wake you or nothing. — hey, how you been? You look great.”
