“Like the Sunshine”

I always try to show my beautiful smile Little did they know, all of it was a lie Hoping that all of you wouldn’t know That my life is filled with pain and sorrow Waking up early to see the sunshine Thinking if this problems has their finish line And just like the sun that never fails to rise up; With all the pain, I always encourage myself to get up Pain, Fears, Doubt’s, Regrets, and Sorrow It seems like my heart was hit by an arrow Giving all my best You still broke my heart into pieces I still remember the day I confessed All I want to do is to rest Tears coming from my eyes Giving you a smile is like doing a lie I don’t know how to start And heal this broken heart We started as a friend But I fell in love in the end Sorry if I pretend That it was just a friend No matter what happened We’re friend in the end

Summary

This 2020 has been a lot to take in, and it has taken away a lot from people. The almost World War III, the COVID-19, the Beirut Explosion, and many more. A lot of people has suffered through the disease, and has lost their loved ones to different disasters that has occured the year 2020. The Corona Virus Disease-19 started to emerge around the last few days of December year 2019, and quarantine around March of 2020 in the Philippines. Around the 4th of August 2020, at the port of the city of Beirut occured an explosion that has damaged not only buildings but also people. The Almost World War III between Iraq and the United States, luckily it did not pass through because it would have a very chaotic ending. But we shouldn’t let the negativity in our world possess everyone and everything with rage, hopelessness, and gloom. We may have started 2020 with the worst scenario ever but we wouldn’t end it the same way it started. We should end it with a bang! Let us enjoy the holidays with our family and loved ones. This reflection of mine may be very short this time but advance Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!

Save us

The following is a journal entry about the sixth module of the NSTP class dated October 28, 2019. The speaker was Engr. Kristian July R Yap.

As we have been given free rein with how the entry is written (and because I would hate for it to be JUST an informative essay), I will be writing this entry (and most of my entries) with creative liberty.

Not everything goes on forever From our food to our water Some things aren’t sustainable And there comes a time where resources aren’t stable

We try to find a way to survive But all we do is thrive We keep thinking that it’s okay But not everything is gonna stay Fires,  floods, melting of ice Each year a new problem will arise And yet all we do is to share things online We don’t even acknowledge what is on the line Save the earth because we need it No, save us because the earth can survive without us on it We have to try to the best of our ability Because this is a social responsibility
