Another letter, this one slipping under his door as soon as the words leave his mouth. He opens the door expecting to catch someone in the act, but he only sees a black stain, like something dragged itself from the window of the hotel and to his room only to dissipate when it finished its job of delivering the letter.

Upon further investigation, indeed, the black stain seemed to be some kind of ink, the smell is putrid.

“You are kind, Mr, Angel.” The letter starts. “Truly we appreciate it, me especially, and perhaps one day one of us may take you up on the invitation; with pay of course. Until then, however, if you need and artist, or just someone to talk to. I’ll be listening, oh! Name’s Joy by the way. Or at least that’s what everyone calls me. Have a lovely day.

Inside the letter is an origami rose, its edges stained with black ink.
