I WAS AHEAD OF THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!
lloyd getting overpowered by a fish for rp
lloyd being able to alert the other ninja through his connection / element is like sending a little whisper to them tee hee .. a whisper from the woods .. the whispering woods ..
shaking while putting into words how much i love just the name “enemy lloyd”
NOT “evil” lloyd. enemy lloyd isn’t evil for being full of hate and he isn’t even evil for beating lloyd to the ground because lloyd’s worst enemy isn’t something or someone that can be simply put on a list of bad guys. enemy lloyd is a physical manifestation of lloyd’s self hatred and doubts that inhibit him from reaching his true potential
enemy lloyd is just that: the worst parts of his bigger self. but even the worst parts aren’t trying to get out and hurt more people or are infested with evil ideologies. lloyd’s worst enemy is himself. lloyd’s worst enemy is not evil
i'm not a fan of the idea that lloyd actively detests being the green ninja because i think his love for the world around him and his connection to the world via his element serves as his motivation to preserve it all. i think even though he didn't have a choice in being a protector, he really embraces it proudly and finds that his sacrifices are worth it
but i do think lloyd has a very "martyr-esque" view of his own role as the green ninja. because he represents the sole connection of every living, breathing thing across all the merged lands, he comes to the conclusion that sacrificing his livelihood is necessary and that the consequences of that sacrifice fall solely on him
it's not actually that different from how morro and kai's mentalities of "it has to be me" or "it should have been me" deprived them of their greatest potential selves. and i think lloyd's version of this mentality exacerbated along his solitude during the first several years of the merge living by himself in the monastery
ideas like "i'm by myself, i have to do everything by myself" and "i'm nothing without my team, that's why i have to hide my existence away" and "i can't let these kids sacrifice their livelihoods under my teachings, it's always going to be me" invaded his mind for years until he got used to living with people who reciprocate how much he cares for them again
my favorite lloyd headcanon is that he's a HUGE history nerd / buff!!
misako seems to specialize in the relationship between relics, prophecies, and mythology amongst civilizations and i love to imagine lloyd sitting beside her as she rambles on about legends across all 17 realms while he slowly falls in love with the topic
and i CRAAAAVE him infodumping his knowledge on pre-serpentine-war crown myths while also throwing shade at clear evidence that the writers of destiny haven't written actual prophecies in ages (arin, sora, and riyu never understand what he's saying)
i NEED him to be able to tell what time period and realms certain relics are from by just examining them himself. and i think it'd be so fun if zane is the one who catalogues the monastery library but only after lloyd reviews every record that passes through first
okay well what if instead the fsm slowly died from wasting sickness and left his sons to lay his own tomb so they wouldn’t have to witness his decay even if it meant dying alone 😂😂
imagine darkley's taught the kids cult-esque camp songs about burning down villages and reciting recipes to make poison and other evil things
and like any catchy song, lloyd still remembers the lyrics to present day and sometimes sings it under his breath while not realizing it, only to look up and see the other ninja and his students looking at him in horror
