So I did some digging and the Mortimer girl that Joe Jr dated was named Katherine and she married three times, including to Francis Xavier Shields, who became the grandfather of actress Brooke Shields.

i read how joe jr paid a random guy to call jack's phone during a date and then when jack went away to take the call (nobody was on the line) joe jr would swoop in and steal the girl and they would have a fun night.

joe was a menace to society lmaoo 😭 like he needed to get beat up just ONCE.

Wait but they didn't have cell phones so how would this have worked, did he have someone call the restaurant phone and then have the restaurant say it's for Jack. Nevertheless yes Joe Jr was the definition of a menace, he didn't give two fucks

Joe would have someone call the restaurant phone and ask for a Jack Kennedy. Then the server or whoever would ask for anyone named Jack Kennedy in the restaurant and Jack would get up and leave, answer the phone and realize nobody was there and when he would get back to the table he would notice his date and Joe Jr left together 😭😭😂

ahhhahah yeah that makes sense lmao, my brain was literally like "wait but how would this work in the '30s or '40s" but yeah that's probably what happened!

The kennedy men (Joe jr, Jack, Bobby and maybe Teddy) were one of the few rare rich boys to actually have a personality. They all seemed like a hoot to be around.
