Training Update
Training was fucking rad today! Sometimes when I'm done with training I just have to listen to We Are The Champions by Queen IMMEDIATELY coz I just feel like such a mafucking CHAMP!! Today was one of those days. Hit all my reps across all three lifts which is literally the only thing that counts!
It was also brought to my attention recently that you actually are supposed to count the bar in yo numbers lol. So yeah, everything is bumped up by 20kgs yo!
By the numbers:
Squat 102.5 x 5 x 3
Bench 65kg x 5/2/5/5/ (No idea what happened on that second set but I knew I could lift it! So I threw in another set and totally made it)
Deadlift 125 x 5 x 1
Stoked as fucking fuck on my deadlift today! I tried to hit 125 last time and failed on the 3rd rep. I wouldn't say it was an 'easy' pull today but I certainly fucking smoked it! Looks like I'll be pulling 130kgs next Tuesday! Stoked on my bench, up to 67.5 next week. It would have been my 3rd training session on 65 so I'm glad I nailed those reps and can keep on movin up! Man, I gotta admit it though. My squat game is fucking terrifying me!!!! I previously stalled at 105 so I reset it and was working back up but damn, the last few training sessions those working sets have annihilated me!! I mean, sweet, I'm making all 15 reps so it's all g to keep adding weight but god fucking damn its a mission!! I remember when I first started training I read up that squatting is not only physically challenging but also mentally challenging. Since I started lifting <100kgs I've tooootally realised how true that is! Sometimes when I finish that last set I'm sooo completely fucking drained. I rest my head on that barbell and bury it in my arms. I'm not even kidding. If someone were watching me they'd think I'm having a little cry or something and tbh, it ain't far away from the truth! Like dawg, I just wanna curl up in the fetal position i'm soooo drained. My body is sore but my mind just feels taxed. It's insane. I love it though hahah. I can't wait to get that weight up!

Training update
Had a fairly good training day today! Just as a glance by the numbers, I worked up to:
squat 77.5kgs 5 reps x 3
bench 45kg x 4/5/4
Deadlift 105kg, failed on my 3rd rep :(
I reset my squat the other week when I was stalling at 82.5/85kg. Should be hitting 85 again by next week! Makes me a bit nervous. Today's weight was still heavy as fucking fuck but I made erry single rep so that's good! It was my second day benching 45 and although I missed a couple of reps I'll probably put the weight up to 47.5 next time. I was a bit bummed about missing my 5 reps on the deadlift but hopefully I smash it next time!! Last time I did deads I pulled 100kg for the full 5 reps so I'm definitely working with the right weight (at the moment) I think my bench is probably gonna start to stall soon but I hope I can get up to 50 before that happens. Hopefully I can keep seeing good progress on my deads too.
One of my gym co-owners talked to me about this novice comp in November! She's real keen for me to lift at it so I most likely will do it! Keen as to see what I can do by November. I'm still a n00b so definitely haven't been working with 1rm weights. Sounds pretty fun/light hearted though so that's cool!
Man, I also finished my training with 3 sets of assisted dips and let me tell you my triceps are sore as fuck!! Looking forward to Sunday! Last training session of the week and I've started chucking in GPP work on this day. 15kg (i think?) keg walks for 5 minutes. I had been holding it on my back in a squat position but ima start holding it in the overhead position! We'll see how that goes though lol
