"Tell yourself it's for the kid" The 1971 JT1L Mini Enduro is more than a mini-bike, it's today's #YamahaOfYesterday - After the huge success of the iconic 1968 DT1 250, Yamaha’s “Enduro” lineup proliferated with the AT1 125, CT1 175, and RT1 360. And then, in 1971, Yamaha introduced the JT1 and JT1L, which, in turn, introduced motorcycles to America’s youth. With their easy-to-start and operate 58cc, two-stroke, rotary-valve-inducted, single-cylinder engines, the JT1 Mini MX and JT1L Mini Enduro were the right-size bikes at exactly the right time. The JT1L Mini Enduro differed from the JT1 Mini MX in that it had a headlight and taillight for nighttime riding and occasional jaunts on streets and backroads. Despite its diminutive size, the JT1L (and JT1, for that matter) featured a four-speed transmission and Yamaha’s patented Autolube automatic oil injection system that eliminated the need to premix the gas and oil. #Yamaha #JT1 #1971 #MiniBike #Enduro #Offroad #ThrowbackThursday #Moto
